Yes if they are the same size of engine and all equipment hook ups are the same. In this situation you need to play close attention to fuel system and emission system. Also some car engines will work, Dynasty, New Yorker, Acclaim.

I would check the fuel pressure. It could be a fuel filter clogged or even a air filter. You may also have a vacuum leak. It could also be spark plugs and wires. I would check the fuel components first though. If you have a question, let me know. I am here to help in anyway I can.

Check your battery terminals to make sure you have a clean contact. Your fuses in the hood compartment and your fluids to make sure the engine has the basics to keep the autoshutoff relay clear. Important: There is a solonoid on the firewall that gets the juice to all your accessories including ignition. Check and clean the solonoid. Or simply replace it. It's under $30. That is ussually the cause of these starting problems. Good luck.

This filter should be attatched to the frame underneath the vehicle. It is held in by 1 screw and inline to the front.

Check here and input information as requested as well as additional, 14" or 15", and it will give you the size. Should be a sticker on drivers door, or door post with tire size as well.

Normally, to get codes, you put the key on OFF and then rapidly do OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON ( on some cars you have to do four or five, not three, OFF-ON cycles).

You can reset the light just by removing the ECM or PCM fuse for a couple of minutes. If you can't find the fuse, disconnect negative battery cable for couple of minutes but your radio will loose the time.

Your heater core is in your dash, and yes, its a pain to get to. My dad and I did my grandma's in the same minivan, and we ended up taking out the front seat just to give us extra work room. Usually if your heater core is bad, you will have a big wetspot in the passenger side floor board. The only thing that really can go wrong with a heater core is it leaks, thus the wet spot.
