We have a 1986 Dodge Colt Vista Wagon runs but won't move.

It sounds as if the seals have cracked or broken. Depending on how long it sat, and the service history, it may be very hard to do anything but have it inspected for pressure to determine that, at a transmission shop.

I would suggest seeing if you can get a free estimate, hopefully, a low cost tow.

You may start looking for an imported Japanese transmission to replace it, usually those come with a warranty and are much less expensive even with shipping, than having one rebuilt.

Of course, then there's the longevity issue, newly rebuilt should last years and provide a good return on the investment if the rest of the car is worth that much of an investment.

I will warn you, the newer fuel systems are designed to handle the fuel that will soon be used across the country. I don't know how long, but before long the older cars will have to be retrofitted with new fuel pumps, lines, hoses, and other fuel related parts due to the increased ethanol/methanol and additives. I just sold my 94 Stealth and that was definitely a consideration for me as it's expensive to change those items out for new ones made with newly designed seals.
good luck

Need a diagram to see the big hose (how to replace

If you can't see it, after lifting the car then try autozone or any online parts store that might display the location of the part in your car. I have not seen all vehicles but if you plan to replace it and have the info on the part, you should be able to trace the part.

I dont know which is the fusible for the lights

Not sure about the colt - but not other dodge has fusible links - all others use cartridge (flat, 2-prong) fuses.

Yours are identified on the fuse cover plate.

If it has a main fuse it will already be there in a holder on the positive battery terminal. Because of the age of the vehicle, there isn't that much on it. https://www.justanswer.com/dodge/176b9-1989-dodge-colt-hatchback-1-5l-mfi.html and this on Fixya already https://www.fixya.com/cars/t12614302-fuse_box_locate_d_in_94_dodge_colt ..

1991 dodge colt vista hard starting.

what your describing is bleed down. Usually it's a stuck open injector that is allowing the system to bleed down requiring you to turn the key on and off to recharge the fuel system with fuel. before it starts. A shop can verify which one or more is the culprit.

How do I release frozen front brake caliber on 79 dodge colt ?

Open the bleeder on the caliper, then using a large C clamp, clamp it onto the back of the caliper and the middle of the front pad. Tighten it to force the caliper piston back into the housing. If its really stuck you may need to use a bar on the C lamp handle to give you more leverage to get it moving. If the guides are really rusted try soaking with WD40 to free them up before applying pressure..

Car seems to have been run out of gas.. starter turns fine but won't turn over.. any secrets to getting a 93 dodge colt started after running it out of gas?

It has an electric fuel pump in the fuel tank that depends on the fuel it is immersed in for lubrication and cooling, by running out of gas you have likely burned out the pump.

Timing belt

You don't have the tension right. Belt should be tight when tensioned, tight enough that it can't slip. I'm not familiar with this engine, but you need to find the belt tightening procedure. Go to autozone.com, register for free, giving make, model, year, and engine size. When registered, look under "repair guides" for timing belt R&R procedure.

I replaced the timing belt on a 1991 plymouth colt with the 1.5l mitsubisi engine i also replaced the tensioner and now the car will not start and it keeps jumping time

Don't know how it could keep jumping time, unless the camshaft sprocket has badly worn cogs or teeth, or the tension is too loose. Can you get it reset, and then run the engine with the timing belt covers off? That way, you might be able to see what is causing it to lose timing.
