The dimmer switch corroded off, and now the lights don't work. If i replace the switch, will my lights begin to work again?

As long as it is only the switch that is corroded the answer would be yes. Try bypassing the switch and see if the lights work. If they do then you have your answer.

I need a steering column for a 1984 Dodge Ram

What I would do is type in 1984 dodge ram steering cloumn and hit search. The most common hits will be e-bay and probably kijiji or craigslist. You could also call your local salvage yard. Most of them are on a cross country intranet with other yards and could find one that way.

Set timing on dodge ram

remove #1 spark plug, then have someone bump the starter while you hold your finger over the plug hole, Bring #1 cylinder up to T.D.C. (Top Dead Center) on firing stroke you will feel a rush of air push your finger off of the plug hole, check that the mark(or groove) that is cut into harmonic balancer,(what crank shaft pully is mounted to) is lined up with timming indicator on timming chain cover, check to see that rotor button is pointing at #1 on cap.this should get you back to where you need to be if distributor was removed and engine was turned or moved.then look at lable under hood if it is still there , if not check service manual for degree either before, or after T.D.C. I hope this will answer your question

Passenger side windshield wiper stopped working.

You will need to take the cowl off and replace all of the bushings. Most auto parts stores will have them in stock.

I have a 1984 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton with V8 318. It

You should have a belt routing decal in the engine bay somewhere or under the hood. If the belts are on now and lined up, adjust as needed. If they won't adjust anymore replace with 1 inch shorter belts. The power steering and the air pump usually take seperate belts. The air pump don't take much to power, they usually run off the third groove on the water pump. A/C, Alt. and PS will all run around the crank. Hope this helps some, if not you might could find a Haynes repair manual at the parts store.

have you tried to roll the pickup and put it in first gear because you have to roll the pickup to a certain speed like 10 mph or so and then put it into first gear should start the pickup. If this does not work that you have serious engine problems with that old pickup and might be inside the tramsmission problem. So let me know if this works out

All connections are good as

Chances are the brushes inside the starter are worn. The way a starter is wired internally, the solenoid pull in winding is taken out of service if the brushes are worn to prevent internal damage to the starter. Have the starter checked by a qualified person.

1984 dodge van has power to the coil but not from

Does the coil produce voltage? I know it has power to it, but is it throwing voltage? if so check the coil wire at the distributor. if power is reaching the distributor but not throwing spark from any plug wires, your problem is a bad rotor and or cap. Or bad wires.

Can't get plate off in front off rotor on my 99

Do you want to remove the rotor or the hub and all? To remove the rotor, the caliper has to be out of the way and the bracket that holds it on. The nut in the middle holds the axel into the front wheel bearing and it's a press fit. The axel can be removed and the steering Knuckle can be removed and the knuckle be put on a press to push the hub out of the bearing. This destroyes the bearing and you need to plan on new bearings. They do make a puller that can be rented at the parts store that can pull the hub. once the hub is pulled out of the bearing the rotor can be unbolted from the back side of the hub. It's best to do this work on a press as the bearing needs to be installed with out damage and it's harder to get it right with a sleigh hammer.
