Starts and runs with remote but will shut off in 4 seconds with key

Check to see if your security light is on and stays on when you turn the key. I bet you need to have your ignition switch changed out. There are two small wires that go from the key sensor down the column and they tend to break after so many years.

Key stuck in ignition?

There should be a hole under the steering bezel you can push a small screwdriver in and release the solenoid. Just in front of the key switch. Three things will cause this. One is a bad solenoid, two would be wiring from the solenoid to the shifter, three would be a bad shifter or it is jammed and won't go fully to park.

What kind of transmission fluid should i use

GM now recommends dextron 6 or VI in all automatic transmissions. It is a synthetic transmission fluid that was introduced in 2006.They no longer license or police the making of dextron 3 or III that was originally installed in your car. This is why you now find dextron III / Mercon because manufacturers are now combining the specs of both Ford and GM into one fluid.Dextron VI is compatible with all dextron II and dextron III fluids. It is more expensive because it is synthetic.Runs about $4-$6 a quart. You can still use dextron III but GM states you never know what you are getting.Well hope this helps.
