1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP.

If tranny fluid is clear and at normal level, then the issue is with the transmission - it is getting ready to go sayonara. Better get that fix before you get stranded.

1999 grand prix will not move in drive i put it in drive give it the gas and it just sits there i have to start out in low 1 and get the car moving and then mannualy work up thru the gears to drive.

Have a tranny shop test drive this, but I will be willing to bet you just have a transmission that is in need of a rebuild. Don't install a transmission until it is properly diagnosed by a transmission shop expert.
