How do I reset the sensor on the rim of my 2006 Ford Explorer?
Replacement TPMS sensors have to be programmed to your car after installed using an expensive programming tool/computer. There are also a bunch of different versions and frequencies of wheel sensors, so unless the dealer did it (unlikely) check and make sure it is the EXACT required part.

The engine cranks but don't start
You are from the south I will presume, it turns over meaning the crankshaft is turning but won't start. The fact that it overheated to the point of cutting off is not good, most motors today are aluminum and excessive heat and aluminum do not play well. I would guess that you have at least warped the cylinder head causing loss of compression. Pull the dipstick and see if it has signs of moisture, this usually doesn't turn out to well though my friend.
