Why is my ignition switch sticking?

You could try graphite in the cylinder, but it is a common problem on older Fords, usually resulting in changing the lock cylinder,

Can clutch pedal be adjusted?

The first thing I would do is to replace the master cylinder as the compensating port may be blocked causing this problem. It is an indication of a worn clutch but having this problem at my expense I learnt to do the cheap fix first as clutch kits are worth about 5 times the price of a m/cyl.. Normally hydraulic clutches are not adjustable

So you can't start it but it runs ok when you push it? Perhaps replace the starter motor or relay? Question is a bit vague and makes little sense, so please feel free to repost with lots more detail if this does not solve it.

Key willnot go in switch

On many Rangers there is a small hole on the underside of the steering column, basically under the key--it's easier to see on some more than others, you should be able to slide a long narrow screwdriver up that hole and just lightly 'push.' That should release the key switch. The alternative is to drill it out starting with a small bit right down the center, then graduate to larger and larger bits until you have drilled the 'guts' out enough to carefully dig the outer circle of it out. But pray that you can take the easier road and find the small hole first! Good luck and take your time if you have to drill!

Heater blower only one speed

You need a blower motor resistor. It is on the heater housing either inside the truck or under the hood. It is a relatively simple fix.

It wont start, just makes a clicking noise. put

Clicking noise usually means a bad connection at the battery terminal. It can also be a bad connection at the starter or solenoid. Re-clean and tighten battery cables, and if that doesn't do it,re-tighten starter connections.Don't overtighten as copper-bronze studs can break easily. If your Ranger is standard shift (4 or 5-speed), don't get under the car or in front of it without the battery cables disconnectede or the shifter in neutral,as any current you inadvertently send thru the starter can engage it and run you over or knock the vehicle off jackstands or blocks. don-ohio

Need a diagram of wiring for starter solenoid/1992/ford/ranger

Not much to the solenoid, but I'll attach a wiring schematic for 3.0 and 4.0. Be careful not to touch the two post together on the solenoid or it will start right up on you! One lead goes directly to the starter and the other goes to the positive lead on the battery. Good luck. da09c900-9129-4db1-b813-16c864c1be99.gif
