I need a Fuel Tank for a 1989 Dodge Raider

I would check all your local automotive salvage yards, or if the damage isn't too bad, have it repaired.

Dodge raider engine removal

It is best to remove the engine /tranny as a unit. Remove all things that will not allow the engine to move forward and up such as radiator. Undo the manifolds at the heads. Undo all electrical connections and use masking tape to number the connectors so that you know where each one is connected. Get a good engine hoist and use a load shifting lifter bar ( a tool that has a hook point that is adjusted by a threaded bar ) so that as you can adjust the center of gravity of the unit on the hook. As you come forward you can alter the lift point so that the tranny drops to the rear allowing you to lift the unit at an angle to get it up and over the front bar of the body Remember to drain all oils before you start and it won't be half as messy. Remove the bonnet as well for more room

Over heating amd loosing antifreeze

Check the hoses, check the engine water pump for leaking. Have a shop do a cooling system pressure check with a special tool and verify the leaks location(s),.

Automatic, V-6, ideal RPM at 70 MPH?

Sounds like the transmission is not shifting into a higher gear. 2,500 to 3,000 rpm would be more realistic for a highway cruising speed. The higher rpm may not be a big deal as far as the engine is concerned but it will hit you pocket book pretty good when you loose the mpg that you should get. I would personally either limit your driving until it can be checked or at least slow down so that the RPMs are in the range listed above. Let me know what they find, my curiosity is peaked! Starts good in the morning but then takes a few

1989 I had I carburator version, Depending on where your at it will be the choke mechanism of the carb, For cold start it need to be in the closed position then when it warms up it is lock out, now for a fuel injector type there is a throttle body sensor(TBT) is 2 wire thermistor. As throttle temperature increase, thermistor resistancedecreases, this controls fuel mixture based on coolant temp sensor

The horn on the 1989 Dogde Raider turns on when

There is no airbag on the raider. There are metal contacts that set the horn off, pop off the center section of the steering wheel. Look for any source of grounding. If not the horn relay is inside of your odometer cluster, which is held on by screws on teh left, right and back of the cover. Its a brass looking box.

Blinkers dont work and da brake light when u push

Remove the steering wheel and replace the multi function switch located behind it. This is responsible for cancelling the brake light on one side when you turn that blinker on. If nothing is working, it is likely that the switch has had a problem for a while. Replace it and be done. If you need anything else, please let me know.

Where is the base timing ground on 1989 dodge

Looking at my manual for the Montero 3.0 V6 it would appear the ground is near the windshield wiper motor. The maunal shows a "ignition timing adjusting connector" right under the motor; the electric connector on the left side of the unit is to be grounded out. If you like I have a manual I could scan for you. Email address please.
I hope this mas assited you,
