2005 Dodge Ram 3500 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Dodge Ram 3500 skips from 1st to 3rd gear, had rebuild after still the same issue. Any advice?
Governor pressure controls the 1st and 2nd shifts. After that is the 3 and 4 solenoids. you would need to look at the pressure when driving(takes a scanner). pressure is 20 to 30 PSI from 1st to 2nd, depends on acceleration. After that the pressure will jump to 100+ psi. Did you replace the governor solenoid and sensor? They are on the passenger side of the transmission and sit in a block that detaches from the valve body.
Clunk noise in front end
Do you have 4 wheel drive ? If you do you "could " have a problem with the transfer case. The noise you describe is indicative of transfer case issues.
What does the front control module look like?
Lightening that close probably fried everything. ECM,BCM,injectors, coils, ignition control module and more. I did an 05 grand prix that was welded on the exhaust. They hooked the ground to the on the body instead of the exhaust and fried everything in the car. The only way to check is to take the modules apart and look for burnt PC boards. Hand held computers wont read them, because they are burnt.

Check your connections and wiring and relays for that circuit
Fan clutch wont come on
the coolant temp sensor should be tied into both the gauge and the clutch . the sensor tells the fan clutch to come on if the vehicle is going above the normal operating temp. also check the wiring leading to the sensor and the clutch for broken or frayed .

Wheel wobble dodge 3500
Check the lug nuts to be sure they are on tight. The steering/suspension of a vehicle is nothing to scoff at when it isn't working right.Safty first!Have it inspected by someone qualified ... Raise the vehicle and manipulate the whell in question ... upper and lower ball joints , tie rod ends , controle arm bushings... all could come into play here.If you have done all of this , and the vehicle is a 4x4 , I would consider replacing the CV axle of the offending wheel. The inner CV joint if worn out will cause the symptoms you discribe.
