How to prime

You should be able to just cycle the key on and off about 3 or 4 times. Your electric pump should do all of the work for you.

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel Truck. First the radio quit working. Then the Cruise-control stopped working. on top of all that it sounds like the transmission is slipping. The motor keeps ju

The radio and cruse are probably the steering wheel connector . Cannot remember the name but it conects the control buttons to the harness that is if you have cruse and radio controles on the wheel also the transmition has issues in those years but I have found that it is often caused by sensors TPS sensor , will cause irratic shifting also check your fuses for any bad ones this can cause your reader not to work . I love the Cummons engine but hate Dodge trannys I own a Duramax because of the Alison tranny if they made a Cummons Alison combo truck that would be sweet good luck

When i have my 4 wheel drive engaged making turns

If you are in 4WD, and not on a slippery surface, the tires may be having an effect called "scrubbing" where the tire on the outside of the turn is not rotating at the same rpms as the tire on the inside of the curve. I have noticed this on my jeep wrangler in 4wd.

Using 4wd on dry or non-slippery surfaces can cause this problem, and also will cause excessive tire wear.

Try the same manuever on a gravel road or a ice patch (it's been in 90s here in Texas, so good luck on that one) and see if it is improved.

Also, would probably expect a little more effort to steer when in 4wd because the universal joints or CV joints are not in perfect alignment during a turn.

I ran a mixture of diesel and water thru my fuel system about three miles or so what do i do now

drain the fuel, change the filter, add fresh diesel. cycle the key several times and see if she fires up. you might have to crack the injector lines to help in bleeding the air out of the system. the good thing is the vp44 injection pump doesn't know what its pumping and 2001 24v cummins do not have electronic injectors, so you should be ok.
