Omg we got all the bolts out but the oil pan will not release from the engine! any idea's? do not really wanna get too crazy with it, about to go with a air chisel!!

Don't go atta?king it with an air chisel! You will end up damaging the pan or the bottom of the block and you will have oil leak problems. There are usually 2 bolts at the front of the pan . You will possibly have to remove the harmonic balancer to get to them. (The front pulley) Once you have made sure ALL the bolts are out, carefully prise the pan off with a wide bladed chisel.

Can oil pan be removed without removing engine?

Absolutely. It is on the very bottom of the vehicle. It will have about 16 bolts holding it on . Do not mistake the transmission fluid pan for the oil pan though. You will have to jack up the car and use jack stands to get to it though. DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT JACK STANDS

How do I replace front timing cover gasket?

Not sure why you are asking. this is not a simple job like a oil change. Basically you need to remove all the engine accessorys to get to the cover.

Is it expensive to over to get a heater core changed in a 1999 Buick Century

From what I have researched the core runs 50 - 60 USD. It appears that accessing the core is not as difficult on this model as some others, and I would estimate that a shop would charge about 2-3 hours labor to do it. You would also have the cost of replacement coolant as well and possibly new hose clamps depending on the condition of the existing ones. If you are moderately capable, it is a job that can be done DIY and there are a few Google links explaining step-by-step how to do it. A shop (US) current charges 70-100 USD per hour for labor, so you can do the math.

Are heater cores expensive to change in these cars

Hi Carol, what makes you think your heater core is leaking,is your antifreeze container low,if not then it's not leaking, could cost 3 to 5 hundred bucks,I just changed mine in my truck,it was leaking on driver side and my windows were getting fogged up.I had to lift the dash up on mine to do,i did it 10 years ago,so this time was easy, here's a link on replacing your heater core,Does your heater get the inside warm, does it have a musky smell?if it is leaking, then your antifreeze container will be low,has it been raining alot, you said in your other post that water is on the passenger side, rain water can come thru the intake vent. Why would it stall, usually when slowing or braking, not consistently?

Have it serviced/tuned up, this should be done every ten thousand or so miles. If that does not resplve your problems, and it possibly will, then start looking to solve problem. You should tell your garage, (make sure you get recommendations for a good one,) about the problem before they embark on the work.

Buick99century shift cable replaced but inside steering column the link is snapped from force anyone know if I'd have to replace the whole column or can I id this small piece.

It is actually easier to replace the whole column than it is to tear the whole column apart to replace the shift lever. Just remember that you will have to change your lock cylinder over to the new column for your VATS system to work. Or bypass the VATS system with the proper resistors.
