I tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. it wont move forward or reverse, engine is good both solenoids for forward and reverse work. You have to track down what is draining the battery. If you don't then you will have to disconnect the battery every time you turn the car off. Sometimes finding the issue can be tricky. You can try looking at your fuse box and start pulling fuses for non essential things like .... tell radio and see is it still drains or use the shotgun approach and pull about half the fuses then wait with car off and re-install them and see if battery us dead, if it is dead then pull half of the ones you pulled, etc...etc...etc....till you find the one causing the problem...use this method as an isolation method if you have no other option ....

I f you are talking about replacing the remote have you tried the release from the inside? if so check fuses for that circuit and then check the relay and stand up close to the car and try it again and maybe just a weak battery! Not in the car, in the remote. Will be waiting to hear back from you.

Remove the connectors and probe them with an ohmmeter. Connect one lead of your meter to the terminal with the yellow wire and the other lead to the terminal with the purple wire. Set the parking brake and shift the transmission through the gears. When in park or neutral, the meter should read zero ohms.

You may have oil in the pan but that does not mean you have oil to the lifters, rods, etc. It sounds as if the oil pump has gone bad and not enough pressure to keep the lifters filled. To try an easy solution, change the oil filter. There have been occasions where the filter plugged up, there is a bypass to let oil through, but it is not the same as a good filter. If the pump is good it will fill the new filter in 30 seconds or so.

I would suspect the MAF sensor is defective. It is one part that will not set a fault code when it goes bad.

That doesn't sound like buick dealer response , not with the tools they have at thier disposal . This sounds like a ignition control module or one of the crankshaft position sensors (has two ) or possibly the cam position sensor . The buick dealer tech's should have a tool like this . I think i know what the issue . It sounds like your security system is failing and it causes the car to not start. i had it happen to me. when i took it to the shop they wanted $300 to fix it so i did some research and found a module that you can install yourself. i installed it in my car and it starts every time. Define crank ? Does the engine spin when you turn the key to the start position ? This is referred to as engine cranks . now yours won't start an run ! This is a cranks no start condition ! When it won't start an run check for spark at a coil , your vehicle has three if a V-6 . Pull both plug wires off same coil an crank engine , is there spark ? Yes - No . No spark , ignition module could be bad , crankshaft position sensor , Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

digging in the internet I found this: too much fuel blows black smoke - brake fluid and auto trans fluid burns white - water makes steam - burning oil makes blue smoke you nead to work out witch one of you fluids are droping in level hope it works :)

Do you hear a sucking noise from under the hood when you apply the brakes? You could have a bad brake booster venting too much engine vacuum when applying the brakes causing the engine to die.

If you look under glove box you will see two to four screws that hold the glove box on. Take out the screws and the glove box will drop down and you can get inside and release latch..then you can get a replacement latch and replace.

You probably access it from the trunk. That's how on my '92 lesabre. You pull the bulb and socket from underneath. You may have to lay inside the trunk initially to pull the socket out.
