all other electrics ok in car, and starts and drives the car? all exterior lamps work? brake,turns/stop ;heads? wrong lamp, not using correct lamp shown in the glove box guide. the lamp has 3 modes on most cars. off all the time (disabled by a switch) on all the time. or door open activated. or a fuse is blown, I check them all. all door locks work"?? car has smart entrance control module my guess is fuse to it blown. 1 of the 4 to it. F10, F11,F24 named fuses the dome does have manual on switch if it is dead then spot and vanity lamp are dead too, that means fuses blow.above;. discover the manual switch yet on lamp socket dome? but the 3 fuse must be good told above first

Your first problem is no power to the coil/s. This could be the ignition switch or wiring from there to the coils. With ignition on, you should have 12 volts to the coil/s. The ECM grounds it out with help from the crank sensor. If you turn the ignition switch on and have the dash gauges and hear relays kick in, then check for bad/broken wires. Several things come on while in the run position. Like radio, blower fan, lights/gauges in the dash. If they don't come on, first would be checking the switch, then wires. You need a volt ohm meter, electrical shcematics.

GET YOUR BATTERY LOAD TESTED ALONG WITH YOUR ALTERNATOR TESTED FOR OHMS VALUES AT THE REGULATOR. ALSO MEASURE THE VOLTAGE WITH ALL LIGHTS, AC, RADIO ON. SHOULD BE THE SAME AS BATTERY OUTPUT.

While you have the "BATTERY" (always the GROUND side first)... disconnected... Snap a picture of where & how the wires are routed to the starter solenoid... The fact that the STARTER is spinning.. is a SOLENOID issue... but your FAILURE TO INDICATE that was TURNING OVER THE ENGINE also indicates a FATAL issue with the starter As you can see from the AMAZON pictures these are gear-reduction COMBINED units... My best advise is to cross check your cost w/rock-auto... and get a decent rebuilt.. This time DON'T RECONNECT THOSE WIRES until you have a new/rebuilt starter there... There is no adjustment . Unless it is after market. Then you have to find the module under the dash. There will be a small set ***** to adjust. I have seen this in years though. They did away with it. Factory never had it.

There are many site on the web that rebuild these modules just do a google search.

Are you missing spark on restart, or fuel pressure ? Someone will need to figure out which system is at fault to know what to look for.

Relieving Fuel System Pressure

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Remove the fuel pump fuse from the panel.
3. Start the engine and allow it to run until it stalls. Crank the engine for a few seconds to relieve additional fuel pressure.
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
5. When repairs are complete, replace the fuel pump fuse and connect the negative battery cable.
