Check the crankshaft position sensor. If the plug is loose or the sensor itself is bad it will cause similar problems

you need to start somewhere. get hold of a scanner and see if car has a crank signal. the crank signal supplies refrence for both base for ignition and injection pulse. if it has injector pulse and no spark, look at the ignition module/ coils but if has neither look at the crank sensor or harness to the module

2.8 liters have a harness that goes under the engine from the crank sensor to the module. thay have had recurant problems with this harness. it is availble through gm parts div. or you can make one if you have access to weatherpack conectorrs

check to see if you can hear the fuel pump running.just cycle the key to the on position but dont turn over the motor you should hear a humming sound come from the fuel tank.if no sound check your fuses if all ok could be a bad fuel pump
or check to see if you have spark if no spak then it could be the module inside your distributor cap.it also controls the fuel pump.

Replacing a clutch is a major provedure, often involving moving the engine off it's mounts, or removing the subframe and steering assembly to remove the gearbox.

Sometimes after a clutch refit, there are related problems with hoses or as in your case electrical faults.

It is probably a sensor cable that has been damaged - and that information is not available to the ECU or control gear. Other times it is the vacuum hoses which allow air in when damaged.

I would take the car back to have a diagnostic check. If it is found to be a sensor not reading or damaged pipe - offer to go halves on the replacement costs - as they are more likely to do this than pay outright. If it is quick for them, they may not charge anything because you were reasonable in the first place.
Sometimes if a connection was weak anyway - it's not entirely their fault.

Chevy Cavaliers come standard-equipped with fold-down rear seats. Just push the latch and fold the seat back down to access the trunk.

you may need to check the compression. if the plugs have fuel on them and you know the spark is good then the only thing missing for the car to run is the compression. if all the cylinders have low compression then the car has jumped time most likely.

If it is low, bring fluid level to full and see if that helps. About all the owner can do with slipping automatics is trying a transmission fluid and filter change to see if transmission revives and stops slipping. The bottom pan is removed, fluid (about 6-8 quarts) is drained, and a new filter is installed before the pan is replaced with a new gasket, sealed up, and fresh fluid added. Sometimes it helps. Sometimes the transmission is worn too bad to help, and you are left with looking for a replacement transmission. Check the fluid level first. Good luck.

This is for a 05 cavalier , Remove the hazard and turn signal flasher module (1) from the brake pedal bracket (3). Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the flasher module (1). Remove the flasher module (1) from the vehicle , if required. It's mounted on the side of the brake pedal bracket . 02 to 05 cavalier is in the same place on the side of the brake pedal bracket .

Salvage yards are probably your only option. A repair of that nature is likely not worth the money or effort.

First of all buy new bulbs (dont pay too much on resellers), just go on Alibaba and buy it for cheap price... than: Remove or pull back inside trunk liner. May need to unscrewcargo net hook. Twist to unlock the bulb socket assembly ( has 3 wires going into it) and pull out of tail lamp. Remove bulb from socket. clean up any hardened grease found inside socket and apply fresh dielectric grease. insert ne bulb. insert socket into tail lamp and twist to lock. re-install trunk liner.

You may need more clarification which hose this in fact is...could be a main radiator to engine hose, flexible black rubber maybe 40-50mm diameter? Or this could be merely the connection from radiator to plastic coolant overflow/reservoir/filler tank? if so, this is generally a much thinner hose.Maybe a pic only highlighting exactly what you are aiming at, may settle this.

the gen3 had 2 changes in the 2000 --02 and again for 2003 - 05----so some body chassis and engine parts are interchangeable ---to many parts to list if know part ask a junkyard or a body shop for whats is interchangeable

Check the electric fuel pump and /or verify the presure at the injectors. good luck

I see no mention of you scanning the Powertrain control module for fault codes, do that 1ST

If you go to www.car-part.com they have a built in Hollander interchange. Just punch in what you are needing and they will tell you what is available that fits. If you just keep track of what the engines are out of, you can figure out what interchanges.
