88 chevy cavalier only starts when i poor gas in

Sounds like you have one of two problems. either a clogged fuel filter( the easy one), or a fuel pump problem. The fuel pump problem could be as simple as a blown fuse, bad wire connection, or it could be a bad pump. Hope this helps.

Runs rough and dies at low rpms

This can be a number of things but you can try process of elimination.

It could be:
1. Bad spark plugs, wires or rotor
2. Fuel pump ,not getting enough fuel, check and replace fuel filter
3. Not getting enough air, check filter or clog
4. Try getting a fuel injection cleaning.

Without seeing it or hands on it could be a number of things.

try checking those to start to narrow it down. And it always could be something else as well such as timing etc..

Interior lights dont work

Will it come on when the passenger door is opened? or at least when you turn the interior light on with the switch on the dash? If not it could be a fuse. If it does then the switch button in the door or door jam is probably the culprit. If it does not.. Then I would suspect a fuse... A broken wire, Or the dome light needs to be replaced.. Meaning the housing itself.. A test light will tell you if you have current to the light or not with the door open... Or find where the wire meets the assembly and test or pierce the wire and see if it has current at the wire... If it has current before the assy but not where the bulbs hot wire comes in then it's the assy. If it has no current before the assemly then check the fuse... then pull the fuse and test the contacts... If none if those contacts light up the test light Then you don't have power to the fuse for that light and your problem is behind the fuse panel or a wire going to the fuse panel... Start at fuse.... If it's good and has power to both sides. Then go to the light assy itself. If it does come on when the passenger door is opened then go to the button in the door jam... If it doesn't check the wires on the back side of the assy. It's a process of elimination... but do it in this order to find it quicker

Heater core

You have to pull the dash and all the lower fascia, then remove the box that houses the Heater Core Take the clamps off the heater hoses from the engine compartment side of the firewall and disconnect the heater hoses. Disconnect the bracket that holds the heater core in place from the inside of the passenger compartment (if present.) Carefully remove the heater core and discard it. Install a new heater core reversing the above steps.
