The range/mode switch circuit consists of four normally open switches. The automatic transfer case control module supplies a regulated 8 volt DC to the switch through circuit 431. The switch has circuit 1693 to return current to the automatic transfer case control module through a 9.09K ohms resistor located inside the switch.
The transfer case shift control module constantly monitors this signal voltage to determine the condition of the mode switch circuit. If no buttons are pressed, and the transfer case shift control module detects a voltage level outside the possible range (approx.-0.5 to 1.0 volts) for longer than 5 minutes, the transfer case shift control module will set this DTC or if a button is held down or sticks for a period longer than 5 minutes.
When each of the switches is depressed they will complete a circuit through their own specific resistor. The transfer case shift control module continuously monitors the switch input to determine whether the 4HI, AUTO 4WD, 2HI, and 4LO button selections are made by the driver. Neutral may be obtained if the following conditions are met:
• The engine is running.
• The automatic transmission is in neutral (or the clutch pedal is depressed on a manual transmission application).
• The vehicle speed is below 3 MPH.
• The transfer case is in the 2HI mode.
Once these conditions have been met, pressing and holding both the 2HI and 4LO buttons for 10 seconds will shift the transfer case into neutral, turning on the red neutral indicator lamp.
If you are not familiar with these electronic systems ,I suggest you take your vehicle to a qualified repair center .

Converting AC
because R134A runs at pressures far exceeding the reliability of the compressor and other components , it is not a simple case of just changing the gas
BY fitting a new system which includes evaporator , condenser , compressor and hoses , the fittings to which you refer will be evident
ac systems are not a job for DIY if you want a good reliable safe system
Oil Pressure Loss
By the sound of it you are still driving the vehicle and it hasnt destroyed itself so I would guess that the oil pressure sensor is failing.
How much hp does a 85 Chevy s10 blazer stock engine have?
old post. and pops up for Geo, i help poor Geo owners.
what engine options. GM offered 10 engines that year.
so can not answer you. ever , lacking that key fact.
85 is an old car and must have missed the nation wide crush program. they are very hard to get running, (vacuum magic H3LL)
1.9L option
that is normal, it is gutless.
the 379 Diesel, not that has some big time torque......
Have a 1985 chevy s10 pick up & the 4 wheel drive
Make sure that the vacuum hose connector is connected AND connected correctly at the transfer case and at the front differential. If that is all right and the front differential still doesn't engage, then you need to test the vacuum actuator at the front differential.
1985 s10 blazer 2.8L has muddy looking oil
Yes, muddy coolant means there is oil in it. Check it by dipping your finger into the coolant while it is cold and rub your fingers together. If it is oil, you will feel it right away, while rubbing your fingers.
85 4x4 s10 will not shift out of low gear
If the governer gear strips,it will stay in low.Round cover at front of tailshaft, somtimes has a metalclip like a master cyl. cover. Pop the cover and remove the governer(will lose a small ammount of fluid, maybe 1/4 cup)The plastic gear on the end may be damaged.
