My transmission slips in drive but not overdrive why?
well overdrive is really where your suppose to have it when you hit the highway. Seem now the gears are slipping in (D) mode. if you want to save more time go to any major parts store and purchase TRANSX. pour it in and drive off.
Rpm running high when park
well. your idle is just high. you can get a screw driver and find the idle screw on the throttle body. . and jsut adjust there , , that is if there are no problems.
now it also maybe a leaky intake. . . . but i think its jsut more of a small adjsutment. . 8)
RE: Fuel Gage
The sending unit is the culprit, most likely the arm for the float is detached.
Serpentine belt placement
go to autozone.com and look for specifications, you sould be hable to find it for free, if not let me know.
1998 Chevrolet mailbu window motor replacement
they are very tricki even good experience mechanics have hard time some time to do it, just try to look for any bolts or screws arrown and remove it, or they have like snap in plastic rivets arrown the edges for the panel, insert a flat screw driver from the edges and pry a little to pop out the rivets
Where is the oil drain
It should be located right under to motor oil pan. It's probly a 15mm bolt. Just make sure that it's not the tranny oil drain. If for any reason when you see redish oil draining make sure to plug it right back up- red oil is transmission oil.
No top gear
your trasmission might be sliping at top gear try a transmission tune up but if this don't help or get worse then your trans is gone
I have a 2001 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4. The transmission seems to pulsate under acceleration but if I press the gas a little more the motor revs but the transmission loses power badly. What could it be?
4wd , A/T box.
brake are bad,
and engine misfires.>
we SCAN the PCM for P3xx or P7xx codes misfire and A/T errors (never skip this !!!)
you do know any transmission brain (TCM will get confused if the engine is weak or misfires right, so engine is first to worry.
but you said engine REVS (rpm up high) and car is slow and or
transmission fails to up-shift, to 2nd in drive.??????
any tech in any shop sees the car, and scans it first.
and see OMG dead transmission speed sensors
or sees, gross misfire,
or must drive it first to see what is going on.
if up-shifts fail at the documented shift points the transmission is bad.
or just 1 sensor on it.
this is called DRIVE_ability issue that can only be solved by tech driving it and seeing it fail.
not the blind, not me,but the shift points are what matters.
and if the tech feels misfire or power loss even in 1st gear.
he knows the engine has a problem. (or even both)
2001 is old car, most cars this old have like 10 ignored problems in the wild.
classic that.
or bad spark plugs and bad speed sensor both, a wild guess and common for sure.
post VIN or the RPO code so we can decode drive-train there.
I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer 4.3 wont start just cranks. I replaced fuel filter, it has a new gas cap and reader and new crank sensor.
Is the engine light on? If so you can hook it to a computer, if there's an auto zone close to you they will do it for you free of charge. I also recommend, laying under the vehicle and banging on your fuel tank with a hammer while someone else is trying to start it. It sounds odd I know but I think it may be your fuel pump, if it starts while your banging on it then it 100% is your fuel pump!Just a side note, I also had a 2000 Blazer and this happened to me a lot! So I'm suggesting this from experience. Chevy blazers are known for this issue.
Headrest removal on 2006 chevy trailblazer
Ok.. This is for removing the backseat headrests on 06 trailblazer..
you gotts cut the material right under the rest , you can superglue it back later..then with a hook tool a pick you find the pins at the base of the rod and pull them out.. He didnt have to cut the material on the next headrest after finding where they were located.. Kinda alittle painintheass job. But goter done..

I got a 96 blazer
probably the camshaft position sensor is faulty. scan the diagnostic trouble codes for more insight into the cause of the problem.
