There is a little button inside the ignition switch that gets pushed out of the way when the key is inserted, and sometimes that button gets stuck in the closed position. It will chime until that button is released. You might have to replace the ignition switch. Sometimes you can play around with the key in the switch, or use a pick to work it free. I would recommend checking the fuses for the dashboard lights. If no fuses are burned, there could be a possibility of the bulbs in the dash being burned. In any case, start by looking in the manual for fuses relating to dashboard/gauge cluster lights. Once you find out what fuse it should be go from there.
