MY FIRING ORDER IS GOTTA BE OFF ON MY 1990 CHEVY

First you need to turn the engine over by hand (Socket on the crank pulley) until the arrow points to the zero. (Top dead center) Now keep in mind that while turning it clockwise facing the engine, you remove the number one spark plug, (Drivers side front) and just before you are at zero, you should feel air pressure with your finger in the spark plug hole.
If you dont, rotate the crank one more time. (This happens every other turn of the crank.)
Now remove the cap, and your rotor should be pointing at the number one spot for the plug wire.

High Dollar/High Mileage Brake Pads,Verses OEM,Or Metallic Pads

What is the big talk about high mileage brake pads?Well, they do last a really long time, they actually do,but, yes ,I say but,did you know that the high mileage pad is a lot harder too,and this includes the ceramic pad also, witch is a pad designed to stop, all brake dust,so your rims will stay clean and shiny. This is all good, but two,no,three things are on the down side of the harder brake pad. One,as you drive, the brake pad does not give, any,it just continues to mill away at the brake rotor, there fore, most of the time, when it is time for a new set, witch will be a good long time, the rotors are too far gone to resurface, and must be discarded, and then you have to replace them with new ones, even at a bargain, they, the rotors will cost a lot more than a set of OEM,or semi metallic brake pads. Two,They will not stop as well,it can take as long as twice the time to come to a full stop, when applying the brakes.Three, the premium brake pad can cost as much as 90.00 dollars, compared to as low as 18.00 dollars for a OEM ,or semi metallic brake pad,you could almost buy 5 sets of brake semi metallic for one set of premium brake pads. You choose, how much money do you want to put into your brakes?Face it folks,a little dust can wash off, compared to having to pay out the nose just to not have the brake dust, and putting money into rotors every time you do a brake job. I am going to let you in on a secret here, the manufacture advertises life time warranty for these premium pads, but they do not warranty the rotors, and the labor, and it is hard now,to get them to warranty the brake pad.Weigh the difference,is it worth it.You make the call.

It means that there is no spark at the cylinder 2 and the fuel flow to that cylinder has been stopped to prevent it from washing the oil from the cylinder wall and accelerating the wear.
Check in this order at the second cylinder: sparkplug, high tension lead, distributor.

Have a 02'suberban and once the truck is off the

remove the ABS relay from the fuse box under the hood. This will shut the motor off. Then you will need to remove the ABS module and hve it rebuilt,
modulemaster.com can rebuild it for alot less than a dealer replacement. You can still drive the truck while the part is out for repairs. Just protect the connector and valve body by wrapping it up.

This is a very common symptom for a failed ABS module.

Hello I have a 2006 chevrolet

what has happened is that the idle speed control system learning was lost when the battery ran dead, the system slowly adapts to a dirty intake idle valve, do the following procedure to remove dirt and sludge deposits from the automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve, this hsould restore proper idle.

I want you to get a can of intake cleaner (ABOUT $5.00) from any local auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest, do not use carburetor spray, intake cleaner only or u will damage the Teflon coating inside the throttle valve and air bypass valve, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

Chevrolet 2006 HD 2500 4x4

You have a relay in the underhood fuse box. Remove it. This will take the ABS out of the loop. You will now have conventional braking capabilities. If you still have the pull then the problem is not ABS related. What a technician needs to do is for the ABS issue , drive the vehicle with the data scanner hooked up in order to see each wheels speed. A code should be stored if any sensor is transmitting the wrong speed. He also will be able to look at the data for all 4 wheels at the same time. If one is different then thats what needs to be addressed. Also not all parts have the reluctor ring for the ABS on it. Are you sure you purchaced the correct part ??. For this year truck its hard to imagine they sold you the wrong part but if the data shows 0 speed on that wheel that would mean the connector and wiring are most likely fine. If the wiring was an issue you should have a high voltage type code. If you clear the code and it stays off untill you start rolling this would indicate a wheel issue. If you clear the code and it doesnt clear this would indicate a wiring or ABS unit issue.

Hello, I have a 1996 Chevrolet

basically your codes are telling you that it cannot control the fuel delivery any longer.

our primary suspect would be the fuel pressure regulator
check fuel pressure and injector pulse width

however, I have also seen MAF cause a similar concern.
you need to confirm the G/s PIDs are within specifications

without some experience you may end up replacing more parts than needed

keep me posted and let me know if I can be of any further assistance
