1993 Buick Regal - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem. I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything got it from www.reliable-store.com

A quad driver is what turns the fuel injector on and off. They're part of the PCM and are not replaceable separately. You have to buy a rebuild PCM. BUT, do not do that until you find out WHY the quad drivers went bad. Usually it's caused by a short in the fuel injector coil windings or a short in the harness. If you don't fix it and just replace the PCM, you'll burn out the new PCM

Pull the cluster out and have it rebuilt.

TAKE IT BACK WHERE THEY DONE THE LAST LOT OF WORK and tell them to do the complete job again as it sounds like a con job to me as a wheel aligment should last for a year a least and the grinding is in the braking system and something must still be bent ,
Its still under warranty dont pay any more..

Buy a manual for your car from an auto parts store. It will have all the information you need to time the engine properly.

If the voltage varies a lot or the lights change brightness, then the voltage regulator in the alternator is bad. Left unchecked, instrument lights and any other light bulb can burn out including head lights and brake lights. It can fry automatic ac controls, destroy the radio etc. Get your alternator replaced quickly.

As far as interior lamps, there may be an interior dimmer, it rotates to increase or lower interior lamps, and usually includes the dash lamps. If the lo beams work but not the hi beams, have to check headlamp dimmer switch.

You would have to replace the multifunction switch on the driver side of the steering column. It is not real expensive and if you are handy it is not a real hard job. The multifunction switch does all the directional wiper and headlight controls. The cruise is wired into the handle, but goes down the column. That handle jsut pulls straight out of the multifunction switch.

Try lubricating the door latch mechanisms on all the doors.

Yes remove the old seal and install a new seal. Do not forget to service your transmission fluid back to the vehicles recommended amount. ( You can also replace your transmission filter since you already have the pan off too).

open your engine then get a dry stick and put it inside then pull it and see or check now your fluid.

Code 26 is for a problem with one of the quad drivers inside the engine computer, or the wiring harness, and code 42 is for a problem with the ignition module or the control. You'll need a shop manual with the testing procedures for each code to proceed.

I would check the bulb for the lights, one of them is shorted to ground. that or the wires someplace else that go to the lights.

I don't list a vac modulator for the transmission for your car. I think the last year it was used was around 1985.

If it has one You open the hood & look on top of the transaxle-- just to the right, of center, of the hood opening It will be on top & to the left of the transaxle end cover & have a tube & small short hose going to it. Under the hood or on the radiator cross support, should be a vacuum diagram as well

god morning check the rails if there is any thing blocking the sunroof way, or the motor of the sunroof might be broken. but mostly the problem is from the rails. have a nice day

Good morning, go to the nearest car wash and dry your car engine with air, then park it and put carton below it, then check the lower hose first where it has the clip, if its ok then take off the radiator and let them pressure it, if nothing let me know, have a nice day
