I would suggest getting a Chilton book or something comprable for your year make and model.. That has all that type of info and how to diagrams.. A great investment..

Please look in your owners manual or take it to the dealer - and simply ask them where the light adjuster is. If it worked before and quit then of course that is different. You don't say it used to work so I am not sure. If it worked before and stopped - check the wires and most likely you need a new switch- that's the real scoop on that.

You have a faulty master cylinder.

The best thing would be if you had a scan tool to monitor the o2 sensor.If you suspect water just add some Heet in the tank and see how that goes.The only other thing is to check fuel pressure but the tester that hooks up on these is one that has to be hooked up on the fuel lines between the filter and the fuel line that goes to the pump.The fuel pump is in the fuel tank.There could be problems there also.The rubber fuel line from the pump to the sender could be bad or deteriorated.There is also a pulsator that is between the pump and the sending unit that can be bad. You could also have a plugged fuel filter.Depends on if it has ever been changed or not.Hope this helps.Good luck.

check the engine codes first that will be needed to diagnose the problem. no there is no choke on your truck

Is it an automatic? if it is check the fluid level is it low? if yes add fluid to the transmisson, if the fluid is a brownish color and smells like onions then the fluid is burnt and you will need to change the filter and 12 quarts of transmisson fluid. This is going to be the cheepest fix that you can do to find out if this is the problem, one the fluid is changed and it still does it then the bands and clutches are going out or the tork converter is going bad regardless it will have to be checked by a transmisson shop. the fluid and filter will cost you about $70.00 if you do the job yourself. You have a massive vacuum leak somewhere. Check egr valve, power brake booster and all vacuum lines

Check the trans fluid level and add if needed. Do it feel like the transmission is slipping into gears or does it just shift hard?

Possible distributor issues, timing advanced, also check the dielectric grease on the control module at the distributor. If it is dryed out or chalky it should be cleaned off and reapplyed.

Unplug the ABS module for 5-10 minutes. This stopped it on my truck. Brakes and everything else checked out okay.

So.... did they tell you why? You will need them or a qualified repair shop to ck it out and tell you why it wont pass, and then they can recommend what needs to be fixed.

The clutch system has air in it.

Check for a burnt out bulb and replace it or check for a possible bad ground.

A common problem on these trucks with the symtoms you described is the gasket under the throttle body. It's about a $2 part. Ther's only three bolts that hold the throttle body on. You can leave everything attached to it and just lift it up about a quarter inch, slide the old gasket out, slide the new one in. It's worth a try.

is it idiling high?check the gasket under the throttle body.

check the engine esp. the battery, it might be drained.. and also its oil may be drained, if these are ok also check the wirings it may have some defects or loose wirings...

1 goes from tensioner to manifold

it sounds like the 1-2 shift solenoid is going out.

the reverse high clutch pack is wore out in the tranny you will have to rebuild it there no other fix!
