Cant gas to go through

injector pulse is conrolled by the computer and the spark is controlled by the inghtion mudule. even though the spark is happening the computer gets it's pulse information for the inghtion module too. So the ingtion module ( in the distrubutor ) can be bad on the injector circuit. If the fuel pressure is too low the fuel won't flow either. On Vortec engines the fuel pressure has to be 50 PSI or higher or it won't even start. The throttle body engines have to have 20. If not the fuel pumps hose inside the fuel tank may have a whole in it so the pressureized fuel from the pump just leaks back into the tank as the pump is in the tank. This happens alot. The injectores ( in the throttle boby) ( you did'nt mention the engine in yopurs) should have power on the one wire with the key on. The other wire should have a pulsing ground as the engine is cranked. To test this, connect a test light to the battery positive and the pointer to the wire and crank the engine if the light flashes the circuit is good and if the power is good this circuit is'nt the cause of your problem. On the throttle bobvy engines theirs a tap in the fuel line going to the the throttle bady near the back of the intake. a pressure gauge can be connected here to check the pressure. some don't have this fitting and you have to remove the fuel filter and put a tee connection wher the filter was and check the pressure there,. The fuel filter is inside the frame rail on the drivers side 1/2 way down the side on the truck, towards the center of the truck. Fuel pressure is a common problem.

My oil pressure drops when

there are a few possible problems. starting with the least costly would be an oil pump needing to be replaced. if your oil pump isnt bad then its a large leak somewhere in your engine usually caused by bearing failure requiring an overhaul or replacement of the engine. you say the oil drops? to what pressure?

I have a 1988 chevy

It is true that most vehicles have a brake light switch at the brake pedal. It is also true that this can cause your brake lights not to work. On rare occassions it can be adjusted, but usually needs to be replaced.

To verify the brake switch, you will have to get down under the dash, by the brake pedal. Directly behind the pedal you should see a bracket holding this switch dierctly behind the brake pedal bar.

It's generally not very big, ( usually about 1 and 1/2 inch wide ), has a couple of wires that are pluged into to it, and is held in by cliping sysytem.

A person that has experience with it can ususally change the part in 2 minutes or less.

I hope this helps you.

Can't seem to see where the oil pressure switch is

Hello: The oil pressure sensor is at the rear top of the engine near/under the ignition distributor, has one electrical connector. You may have to remove the ignition distributor to get to it unless you have a special oil pressure socket.

How do I know what size wheel cyclinder I need on

usually the side of the cylinder has the size stamped on it, but if they are rusted, you may not be able to tell. you may just buy both sizes and take back the ones you dont use. If you take the old ones apart (when you are doing the job) you can measure the bore and then you will know.

The water that goes thru the heater core is controlled by a simple mechanical flap valve. That valve is controlled with a vacuum by the temperature knob on the dash: more you turn it toward heat/red - more the valve is opened.
In your case the valve isn't opening so you must replace it. here it is
