First most important things at the top of the list is fuel and spark. Make sure you have both. Pull the coil wire from the cap and insert something like a screw driver (or a spark tester). Set it down near a manifold bolt or something that is a good ground source (not a fuel line) and crank the motor and watch for spark.
Listen for the fuel pump to prime for about 2 seconds when the key is first turned ON. A feul pressure test is also important. With the TBI though that takes a pressure tester and since there are no service test ports you need to undo the return line and install a tester adaptor between the line and TB.
Find out if you're missing either fuel or spark then come back here with your findings and comment and I will try to help you further.

using a volt meter you need to check at the starter on the larger terminal wire there should be battery voltage.on the smaller terminal wire there should be battery voltage when someone is trying to start the car.if you do have the proper voltage then its the starter motor that is the problem and needs repacing.if not then you will have to check to see why the voltage is lower or not there.

First, it is possible that you have the timing gears installed a tooth off. That will change the valve timing enough to give you that problem. Next, I'd really want to find the cause of the bent push rod. Generally, they don't just bend by themselves but usually will do that if a valve hit a piston when the timing gear failed. Also could be a bad rocker or lifter. Before tearing it apart check the engine timing. Quick way to do that is by putting a vacuum gauge on it and advancing the distributor 'till the vacuum reading is at it's highest point, then backing off a little. That will get you in the "ball-park" but should be checked using a light. Make sure to check the basics...fuel pressure and delivery etc.
Also curious as to if you replaced the chain because of a failure or to attempt to fix the acceleration problem?

They talk about cranking the engine enough to get the oil up before the fuel pump sends fuel, It didn't say anything about 2 oil sensors, but there is quite a bit of complaining about the electricals. Hope this helps.
The ignition switch is stuck in the start
Well, this is a very time consuming fix, you have to take the steering wheel off, the lock plate, the turn signal switch and than you should see the "locking pin" inside the steering column, look for any broken pieces or something blocking the gears. if you need any further assistance please feel free to e-mail me directly
[email protected] Please, if you do not know what you are doing dont try, this could compromise the safety of you're vehicle, take it to a licenced mechanic if you dont know how to do it for you're own safety.

The red light indicates you are using more than you are making ... you have answered your question my friend. Nothing abnormal here.

I would take the bulbs out and put the trans in reverse, the check for voltage with a test light or multimeter. If no voltage is present then it's more likely a problem with the reverse switch which is located on the trans.
It seems I'm getting too much gas,my plugs are
Sounds like your actually not getting enough gas, then your fouling your plugs because something isn't firing right. When your vehicle is cold it uses more gas to run smoother, then when it warms up it is leaning the fuel out and you have to keep giving it gas because it wants to die from not getting enough fuel. Whens the last time you've done a full tune up? or timing adjustment? check easy things first like air filter, plug wires....I'm sorry but I think it's going to be something a bit more difficult, atleast first start with your air filter.
I have a 454 chevy engine after it sits fir a
You might try to richen that carb intake a bit. You might want to spray some intake cleaner in the intake as well and make sure to get some of the gunk out of there. I would add a fuel system cleaner in the tank as well but a rebuild will net the best results.
