1984 c4 corvette rack and pinion
In a nutshell, you disconnect everything attached to it and slide it out the passenger side between the subframe and frame. Obviously, you have to disconnect all of the fluid lines, the tie rod ends on both sides, and the 2 (or 3) bolts that holds it in the car, along with the steering shaft.
How to check oil level
Not sure what the question is, but check oil with engine off. Remove, wipe, re-insert and check.
Horn relay location
30 years old. Yours doesn't have on. You'll probably have a fuse. If that isn't blown, then replace the horns or it is in the steering wheel. You can check the horns by supplying power and ground the electrical connector.
Adjusting shifting linkage
It may have something to do with bushings and the overdrive unit.
Also , there may be a problem with the release on the shifter.
How do you replace a seat belt?
Locate the area where the seat belt originates.
Remove the safety bolts located under the casing with a socket wrench. At the other end of the seat belt, remove the nut which holds it in place with a wrench.
Remove the shoulder harness of the seat belt with the wrench.Remove the bolt and nut which is attached to the anchor side of your old seat belt. This is at the bottom of the vehicle.Install the new anchor section of the seat belt.

Why will my1982 corvette not start
Sounds like the Fuel pump relay.. When you turn on the key you should hear the relay click.. then 1-2 seconds later it will click again and turn the pump off until the car starts. This pressurerises the system so the car starts.. if this does not happen there is no pressure on the injectors.
How to fix the gear shift
Remove the center console, you will see the little orange tang which should be attached to the shifter, sometimes they come loose, re-attach it to the shifter and you are done.
