84 corvette clunking first to
id check ur transmission mounts first and make sure ur transmission fluid is full and should be changed if its been at least 60k since its been done
I have an 84 C4 Corvette and the speedo works
u may need a speedometer signal generator if dash gage is on just not reading speed its located on the left rearend of tranny just remove wiring clip and 1 hold down bolt and pull out easy to replace but if its problem with dash gauge's u may need a dash printed circuit board for speedo/tach
My 1984 corvette crossfire v8 smokes wnen stated a
it could be a lite blue colour that looks white,if so then the car is burning a little oil,the valve seals are probably dried out and allowing small amounts of oil to be drawn into the combustion chamber past the seal and valve guides when the car sits and when started up the oil gets burned in the combustion chamber.if its white smoke then it could be a small head gasket coolant leak.
The dome lights will not

however i dont think this your problem. the dome lights and cluster lights is controlled by am accessory fuse. there are 2 of them 1 in the kick panel under the dash, the other is under the hood. Look for a fuse labeled ACC aor accessory.

Jim; have you confirm the fuel pum[ is working? If it is, you should get something out of the fuel rail. Sadly. Pump is a dealer recommended repair cause the pump is more than likely in the fuel tank. Thry should changre you filter at the same time.
Dash Cluster is dark and
the gauge cluster lights are not functioning, check them by pulling out the guage cluster and replacing burnt bulbs
I DON"T THE MOTOR SIZE
Not sure I understand your question...the stock motor on the 1984 Corvette is the "Cross Fire Injected" 350 V-8...Hope this helps.
