You need to have it checked by a pro quickly. It's eother a head gasket or a warped/cracked head as that's usually what this is a sure sign of. But it could be as simple s an intake gasket. Is there any "milky" looking stuff in your radiator or engine(pull the dipstick and see what it looks like & to see if it's excessively full). Did your water pump or serpentine belt fail- see if the belt is broken?
A conpression tester from AutoZone or a similar parts store will tell you if it's a head gasket or not. They'll rent you this compression tester for free- you remove spark plugs one at a tone and then screw the tester into the spark plug's threaded hole. After disconnecting any/all ignition power sources you can turn the engine over to get a compression reading in PSI(pounds per square inch). Record the compression readings for each cylinder individually on a piece of paper or whatever you prefer, if one is way lower than the rest or there are any large variances in compression readings from each cylinder you've got a head gasket issue at best, maybe a cracked or warped cylinder head. If you start it and drive it any just don't let it run long enough to overheat! So like 1-2 minutes at most! It proabably overheated and blew a hose or something like that which is why all of your coolant is gone.
Start with that and and let us know what's going on! It may be a simple fix so don't let this scare you because I mentioned Heads and head gaskets, etc. it could be simple, it's hot to be properly diagnosed to find out, many shops do this for free or at a minimal expense like charging you for an hour of labor. Get a friend or family member, etc. to help out if you know anyone who is a real technician, if not let someone take a look at it. Research by asking those close to you and looking at bbb profiles, online reviews, etc. to find a qualified shop that is honest and treats people right!
I need a fuse Box
I have A 1977 monte I don’t know any wiring for a radio can someone help
Where is the fuel pump
Just check your fuses, i never heard of a pump reset switch on a 97 monte carlo,I know ford vehicles carry them (inertia switch). U have to check fuses & fuel pump relay or just a bad fuel pump is common on chevy vehicles.
