I think the actual frame the hinges are on is bent, you should take it to a body shop to have them re-align it.
The fan stopped working all together. It did work
The blower motor that is under the dash for the heater is control by what is called a resistor. it is a small gadget with a plug on top with 2 or 3 wires. The resistor will give out sometimes and needs to be replaaced. it is either on top of the blower or near blower motor. This is a common problem. it is not that easy to get unde the dash but it is possible.
Speedometer just started doing wierd things.
Min 05 2500HD is doing the exact same thing seems to be related to the floor heat or heat in general. I can get it to lower in 5mph incriments if I restart it several times to get it back to zero.
Chevy should really fix this Its unsafe!!!
MY BRAKE LIGHTS DONT WORK,
you have a broken wire some were if you cant find it you can run a seperate power wire from the third brake light to the brake lights but i would check for power at the brake lights first to make sure its not a ground problem
Why do my tail lights work but my drake lights
First thing to check is the switch located on the brake pedal. It should be mounted under the dash and when the pedal arm moves it should push in a plunger, check for proper arm adjustment and check the wires to see if they have been loosened.
05 Chevy 2500HD blowing cold air
i have seen this problem when the level
of fluid is low in the radiator start with truck cold remove cap and fill with proper mix of antifreze for your area replace cap start truck with controls set for max heat
and check operation verify overfill tank is filled to cold level when completed
My hood seems to move up and down at high
You can tighten this up a bit by adjusting the plastic (or rubber) 'bumpers' directly under the hood toward the front of the vehicle. There should be two of them. To make them tighter, turn them counter-clockwise, both equally, a little at a time while checking the closed hood for tightness between turns. This should stop the constant bouncing around with the hood.
I hope this helps! :)
How many guarts of 75/90 gear oil does a 1999
this is going to depend on a bunch of variable, engine, ring gear size etc. Try this site, you can pick all your variables.

If you don't know what size ring gear my best recommendation would be buy 4-5 quarts and then return the full one(s) that you have left. I have a 2007 chevy 2500 hd with the duramax and I think mine took just a shade under 3 quarts.
