If the fuel pump is inside the gas tank, remove the gas cap, to equalize the air-pressure inside/outside the gas tank. That should let the fuel pump "suck" the gas from the tank.

Your best bet would be to obtain a small service manual ...Chiltons still prints them. They are available at just about every major autoparts store and run about $25 - $30 or so. You'd probably have to order it for your '03. Or look on Amazon. Another source for step by step "how to" is AutoZone's website. The beauty of the manuals are the pictures. They will show you where the vent valve is ...because there's a good chance it isn't on the canister. And the canister itself can be hidden away under some other piece of gear in the engine bay. A manual will also give you heads-up to any special considerations or procedures when doing the work. A picture's worth a thousand words but you could print a thousand words and still not paint the right picture. Get the book.

Hi William, I'm glad to help! William, before running after another cluster I'd make certain that the fuse was not blown during the stereo installation. Check all fuses first with a test light just to make sure. Hope this helps and have an awesome day William.

what codes? will probably be a 300 - 308 or a lean code. need codes could be bad plugs or wires could be fuel filter or pump. without codes cant tell. also when check enging light flashes it means stop as engine or cat damage could result

There was a TSB from GM regarding instrument cluster malfunction. This link will get you the information you need to replace defective servo motors. The TSB has expired so the servos are no longer covered under warranty. Google This was the TSB.....

cluster is probly bad causing heavy amp draw--remove instrument cluster/panel and have it refurbished at napa------wiring or module could also be bad in the harness-inspec it 1st bfore doin anything

Replace the light bulb.

There isn't one. The MAF is controlled by the engine control module. The control module sends the power and ground to the MAF. As it also send power to other sensors. If you have no power to the MAF, then it is in the wiring, if you have power to other sensors. IE.. TPS, EGR, and others.

Does the compass work when the temperature goes out? If the compass still works then chances are that the ambient temp sensor is defective. Also, could be wiring to the sensor. If the compass goes out with the temperature then chances are the mirror itself is defective. Cheapest most common problem is the ambient temp sensor. It's behind the grill by the condenser at the front of the vehicle.

The ambient air temp sensor is usually a small black probe around and in front of the radiator area but not directly in the airflow.
