I would give a serious search for a major vacuum leak. Check around the intake manifold with an aerosol spay of starting fluid or a pentetrating oil. One of these will cause an affect of engine stumble or increase in engine speed. Check also all vacuum lines especially around the tree and all larger lines. Good luck my friend, Dana

A little movement is normal,

2001 Silverado 2500 HD Why Rear brakes don't work after I installed new hydro-boost power booster, master cylinder, calipers, and pads. I bled master cylinder before installing, and brakes beginn
Hello Patricia,
Have you checked the master brake cylinder reservoir for brake fluid loss?
I don't suspect the master cylinder as you have replaced it... but am more suspect of a leaking brake line or fitting which should have
been discovered when you had the system bled.
The only time I ever had a rear brake problem with a 2500 series Chevrolet was due to seized rear brake caliper guide pins...as your calipers are also new that is not your problem.
If your brake pedal feels spongy and travels to the floor board you have air in the system, a brake fluid leak or a failure in the power steering system, such as a broken hose, broken power steering pump drive belt, or failed pump, would result in a loss of pressure to both the hydro-boost and steering.

You can shut off the regulator by removing the return line and blocking the return port. If pressure returns, replace the regulator. If still no pressure, check the fuel filter. Is there pressure behind it? If you remove it, can you blow thru it from behind? If the filter is not blocked, replace the pump.
Hard cold starting
This is a fuel pump pressure issue, it is not holding pressure, you must remove the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump, also replace the fuel tank connector.
Know if coil is bad
The easiest way I found is..have someone with a conductive electrical tester or timing light.i prefer the timing light..Just clamp it over the wire coming fro the coil and plug .Then start your car or if it won't start turn the engine over a fastest speed it can..point the timing light to the under hood or where the light will show..if it blinks as the engine is turning it is working if not it is bad..good luck.
