Vacuum line leaking or bad actuator.

Transfer Case Shift Control Switch Indicator Flashes and Returns to Original Mode. Circuit Description This symptom usually occurs when a shift into or out of 4LOW will not occur. When the transfer case control module (TCCM) receives a request to shift into or out of 4LOW, the TCCM must see the following parameters before the shift routine can start: ?€¢ The vehicle speed must be below 3 MPH.

?€¢ The transmission must be in neutral.

If the TCCM does not see these conditions the shift control switch indicator lamp will flash for approximately 5 seconds and then return to the original gear. Test Description The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

1. This step tests the operation of the transfer case shift control switch to help determine if the system is operating properly.
2. This step determines if the vehicle speed sensor reading is correct.
3. This step determines if the park switch reading is correct.

Important: The transfer case shift control module is not a class 2 device, and therefore a scan tool can not be utilized on this transfer case.

Did you perform A Diagnostic System Check? -- Go to Step 2 Go to Diagnostic System Check 2

1. Start the engine.
2. Place the transmission into NEUTRAL.
3. Set the park brake.
4. Depress each of the shift control switch buttons.

Does the transfer case range change with the press of all of the shift control switch buttons? -- Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections Go to Step 3 3

Use the scan tool in order to read the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission control Data Lists.

Is the vehicle speed within the specified range? 0 km/h (0 mph) Go to Step 4 Go to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check for the 4.3L engine 4

1. Put the transmission in neutral.
2. Observe the current state of the transmission on the scan tool in the transmission control Data 2 List.

Does the scan tool indicate the transmission is in Neutral? -- Go to Step 5 Go to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check for the 4.3L engine 5

Replace the transfer case shift control module. Refer to Transfer Case Shift Control Module Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement? -- Go to Step 6 -- 6

Operate the vehicle within the conditions for causing the symptom as specified in the supporting text.

Does the symptom re-occur? -- Go to Step 2 System OK

Remove fuse #15, 10A and see if 4x4 disengages. Your truck has a Transfer Case Control Module that may be what's behind the kick panel. As for the horn and fans not working I can't see a direct electrical connection between them.

Could be a number of problems there. Bad tie rods, or bent. Bad wheel bearing, bad ball joints, or a brake sticking on. Could also be a bad alignment, low tire pressure or a bad tire. It is not a matter of should you still drive the vehicle, it needs attention asap. Could be dangerous

Did it lose spark or fuel?

I don't know anything about remote car starters, but you might want to see if it has a reset button, or try changing the battery.

Speakers hooked up and are they good.

Is the vehicle running at normal temperature..If its running cooler than normal,then it might be the thermostat..Feel the upper radiator hose after the vehicle hot..It should be hot to touch

Check if there is enough antifreeze. Low antifreeze will prevent fluid from going to heat exchanger.

If it's a factory security system you will have to have it towed to either the dealer or a place that installs alarms if it's after market under the dash on the driver side there should be a small toggle switch or a button with key on switch toggle to opposite direction if it's the button push button and hold then turn key on and try to start good luck

pull the tank and drain all the fluid out . Put in about 2 quarts of metholated spirits and swirl the tank around so that any remaining water is mixed with the spirits ( metho breaks down the surface tension of water and holds it in suspension--any metho left in the tank will pass through the system with no ill effects)

Drive to your nearest auto parts store and they will check your car's engine light for free. they will also tell you what those codes mean. When was the last tune-up?

Have you explored the meaning of the codes? Check for dirty/stuck EGR valve.

Check the internet, or your local auto parts store or garage. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Does the brake booster hold vacuum after several hours of the engine not running? You should have 2 to 3 pumps of the brake pedal with the engine not running until the pedal is hard. Worn pads or sticky calipers can also cause the condition.

check your fuses, and you maybe will have to reset your ignition switch under the steering column. holler back.

when you shut it off, will turn over again? just wont start?

Are you the original owner? Has it always done this since you have owned it? It is possible to install a manual valve body in some of these transmissions, which works just as you discribe.
