The passlock is causing a problem try this process and see if it will correct the issue.If it does not the passlock assembly and ignition tumbler may need replaced.

1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out. Repeat this process (2) more times (3 times, 30 minutes total) This should reset the PASSKEY system to recognize your key.

When you disconnected battery, how long did you do it for? Some times a reset can take over an hour with no battery. Also look at removing your ECU fuses.
