2006 Chevrolet Venture - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

The throttle body needs a thorough cleaning. Brake clean and a toothbrush will do the job. Clean the back of the throttle plate as best you can.

might be plugged fuel filter or maybe idle air control valve or severely plugged air filter

you did not say if this is in the front or rear but no matter your brake hoses can colapse inside they let the fluid go towards caliper but not return

Ignition Switch (2005 Chevrolet Venture listed but the 2006 Venture was not) Removal & Installation To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • The SIR system
   • The upper and lower trim covers
     
     
   • The wiring harness assembly (D) from the wire harness strap (E)
   • The wiring harness straps (C) from the wire harness assembly (D)
   • The wiring harness strap (B) from the upper tilt head assembly (A)
     
     
   • The turn signal switch assembly connectors (B) out from the bulk head connector (A)
     
     
   • The PASSKEY III (B) off of the ignition lock cylinder case (A)
     
     
   • The key alarm connector (A) from the ignition lock cylinder case (B)
   • The 2 tapping screws from the ignition switch assembly (C)

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • The ignition switch assembly (C) onto the ignition lock cylinder case (B)
   • Two tapping screws into the cylinder case.
     1. Torque to: 42 inch lbs. (4.7 Nm)
   • The key alarm connector (A) into the ignition lock cylinder case (B)
   • The PASSKEYS III (B) onto the ignition lock cylinder case (A)
   • The turn signal switch assembly connectors (B) to the bulkhead connector (A)
   • The wiring harness assembly (D) into the wiring harness strap (E)
   • The wiring harness strap (B) into the steering column tilt head assembly (A)
   • The wiring harness straps (C) onto the wire harness assembly (D)
   • The upper and lower trim covers
   • The SIR system

it could be a heat sensor bud thats it

while they are similar they cannot be interchanged. all the sensors and computer are different. i also believe the mount locations are different.

IT REALLY SOUNDS LIKE A HEAD GASKET AS FAR AS ABS IT COULD BE LOW ON BRAKE FLUILD OR BRAKES MAY NEED REPLACED OR ABS MODULE VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH ABS LIGHT ON

get a gas cap their cheap

Its a long way from the gas tank to the engine so you need a fair bit of cranking. Also, if it ran dry, it means the pump also was running dry after it stopped. The gas lubricates and cools the pump, so you may have wrecked it. First thing, check that fuel is being pumped. Then check the pressure.

Hi have you had any joy finding fault I have the same problem with my Maxus. I've replaced endless stuff even main pump ,narrowed it down to crank position sensor.but sensor is fine there should be a 5v feed but there isn't one ,checked wire back to ecu and its ok. But carnt see it being fault on ecu van drives and performs great once running. I believe it is a electric hydraulic system so maybe a bad switch or wire or hydraulics could be getting varnished and sticking

I believe the shake is coming from your transmission. Please look at the fluid level and color. Also take a look at its maintenance history. When was the last time the fluid and filter was replaced? The torque converter clutch, low transmission fluid pressure, and engine issues will cause shudder (Clogged air and fuel filter, poor fuel pressure, fouled spark plugs, timing or restricted exhaust flow). Do you know how to use a wiring diagram along with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test electrical circuit's ? Plus ,do you know what a BCM - body control module is ? The driver an passanger door lock switch's are just inputs to the BCM , low voltage inputs. The park neutral switch is also an input to the BCM ,that part is working - taking out of park an into park - locks & an unlocks the doors . The door switches inputs are missing ,probably . Bad ground at G302 or open in wiring . Check the flex boot from the body to the doors - Wire's like to break inside . Under system click on body & accesories ,then under subsystem click on power door locks . With just the switches not working i wouldn't think that the BCM was the problem , but you never know . Did you disconnect the battery to clean the corrosion ? Sometimes disconnecting batteries can cause electronic modules to act up ,if you know what i mean . Battery Disconnect or Replacement Problems

A good code reader will take a "snapshot" of the vehicle computer systems when the code p0341 (camshaft sensor) is set.It may be a bad sensor or wiring or connector or computer. Most likely broken wire in harness.
