Change the battery on 2004 chevy venture

1st remove the positive wire from the post. Next remove the negative wire. Next remove any retainers that are holding the battery in the mount. After you free the battery, remove it from the vehicle. Reverse order of removal to replace. reset clock, and radio settings. IF your radio has an anti-theft device and it becomes active due to the absebse of power (battery removal) you may need to contact your dealer for the code to release the device. Good luck, I hope I have helped.

Have a 2004 Chevy Venture van with faulty power

I don't have a solution, but a related problem. Our 2004 Chevy Venture power door locks are cycling (locking/unlocking) on their own while we are driving. This coincides with our remote keyless entry losing its effectiveness. I tried replacing the battery on the remote, but to no avail.

How do I change the catalitic converter and can I

You want your car to run properly, fix it. Do you live in the USA? There are federal regulations from the EPA and the DOT that require you to maintain your vehicle in a certain manner. Violation of these federal regulations is very serious. When you sell your car, you will still be listed somewhere as having been an owner ... if the new owner finds out what you did ... the long arm of the law will reach out and touch you.

So, my free advice to you is fix your car like you cared about both your car and the environment not to mention your neighbors.

Chevy venture has a red circle light, water like symbol..

Check your coolant level in the overflow as well as the radiator. Be sure to only check the level with the engine cold. The system is under pressure and removing the cap when hot could cause sever burns and injuries. If you have to fill it be sure to use a 50/50 mix of dexcool and water.

Hood latch

Try spraying the latch mechanism with WD-40 or similar light oil and operating the release cable a number of times. Check the condition of the release cable if nothing happens. The latch itself may have a broken spring due to the low temps.
