2004 suburban doors randomly lock and unlock while driving

There are two relays that control the locks. One controls locking, the other unlocking. One of those could be defective. Replace one. If that corrects the problemyou are good to go. Do not discard the old relay yet. If the problem persists replace the other existing relay with the old on you just removed. I believe the lock relay actually works through the unlock relay or vice versa.

Digital display

Try this.Start the vehicle. Rap the instrument cluster several times several times with your hand like you where knocking on a door. If the display reappears or even shows up dimly than the instrument cluster will need to be replaced. Check with your local GM dealer. They will likely have a reman in stock as this as well as gauges inop are fairly common. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_d728a59f986299fa

What is a knock sensor & how do I find it?

It allows the engine to run with the ignition timing as far advanced as possible. The computer will continue to advance the timing until the knock sensor detects pinging. At that point the computer retards the ignition timing just enough for the pinging to stop. A knock sensor assures that you're getting as much power and fuel economy as is possible from your engine. The knock sensors on your vehicle is located under the intake manifold.
