Air conditioner causing water inside front and rear of vehicle

on your airconditioning unit on the fire wall under the hood...you have a drain hose to let water out ..if that is plugged it will run inside the vehicle...but what causes this usually is low freon...134A..its the gas inside the lines....when ac is running..if its low it will freeze up in the AC condensors in the dash...turn white which is frost..if it gets frosty then it will melt thus causing water which in turn runs into the inside of the vehicle..that is if the drain tube hose is pluged...suggestions >> get under car and look for a tube..rubber...insert a wire or something up there to see if dirt comes out...do this without car running...someplace on right side glove compartment area under car has to be a tube..tube goes up and down vertically probably two feet long but you will only see the tip of the hose,,maybe a couple inches,,,only way to find it is get under and behind right front wheel and look upward .find it and make sure it isn't kinked or anything as such,,plugged...then try again...the cause is low freon 134A...stop and think,,,on a hot day when AC is running,,,you drive a bit and then park...you come back out and there is water behind the right front wheel ,,,if that is happening..you have an open tube...but if water still inside during the puddling outside....then a loose or cracked housing which contains the unit...shouldn't be too hard to fix

2004 surburban...first battery light came on...then all gauages on dash stopped...then car stuff off while on interstate.

They would if the battery ran down from the alternator not working You can see the prices on any auto parts site like Napa I have no idea why anyone would be at a dealer, just to pay more, for what you can do yourself or any local repair shop You need only what came with the vehicle ,the way it was built I wouldn't believe a thing I was told by a dealer if I was face to face in the conversation On Napa Auto Parts it shows a 105 & 145 amp alternator The 145 is $195.00 & they are not doing you any favors SO-get it out of the dealer If you go to Rock Auto.Com where everyone buys their parts, you will find, brand new not reman OEM Delco Parts for no more than $150.00 Long way from $150 OEM GM AC Delco verse the dealer for the same part NEW for $643.00 Not to be sarcastic, but I learned that at 18 years of age & that was 51 years ago for me

Power steering pump shaft broken again

When you place the wheel in a hard lock position ,the power steering pump relies on the pressure by-pass valve to operate instead of the valves in the steering box to open and allow the pressure to by-pass back to the reservoir.. When you hit hard lock and you hear the motor load up just ease on the turn and the pump will operate as designed. The turn will still be the same -just that the pump is not under full load . Breaking the shaft is a sign of excessive load and a misaligned pulley so check that the belt is directly in line and the pump is square to the belt line.

I have a 2004 Chevy Suburban that my husband said needs no antifreeze change, ever. Is this true?

You won't have to change your antifreeze unless a water pump or a coolant hose breaks.Antifreeze doesn't break down like the old green kind did.

04 Suburban has noisy wheel bearing sound, periodically dinging ABS light

remove and replace the wheel bearings as they are so loose that the hub is touching the abs sensor rotor.

Air conditioning problems

Air conditioners work with liquid/gas inside them. most have a hose off the side to refill them when needed (not very often ..). It sounds like you are looking at the refill hose and this will only be in play when your mechanic is refilling during service. :-)

Stalls when accelerating

Low fuel pressure, check your fuel filter, or check for a weak fuel pump. pump might run, but be too weak to hold enough pressure to run an engine at speed or under load.

Throttle does not work. car starts, but does not accelerate

try unplugging the MAF sensor this is normally located the large air intake pipe just after air filter if after unplugging the car revs freely then need to either clean or replace maf sensor. You cant simply leave un[lugged as will put management light on and not allow car to tick over properly
