2004 Chevy Blazer dash lights don't come on

If the rest of your lights are OK, there may be a dead spot on the dash dimmer control (near the headlight switch). Cycle the control a few times to see if that fixes it. Otherwise, check the fuses at the left end of the dash.

2004 chevy blazer code 304 missfire number 4 cyl

If plug an plug wire has been replaced , an dist. cap an rotor an problem is still there ,maybe a fuel injector problem . Perform the fuel injector coil test. Refer to Fuel Injector Solenoid Coil Test . A fuel injector coil winding resistance that is too high or too low will affect engine drivability. A fuel injector control circuit DTC may not set, but a misfire may be apparent. The fuel injector coil windings are affected by temperature. The resistance of the fuel injector coil windings will increase as the temperature of the fuel injector increases. Diagnostic Aids ?€¢ Monitoring the misfire current counters, or misfire graph, may help to isolate the fuel injector that is causing the condition.

?€¢ Operating the vehicle over a wide temperature range may help isolate the fuel injector that is causing the condition.

?€¢ Perform the fuel injector coil test within the conditions of the customer's concern. A fuel injector condition may only be apparent at a certain temperature, or under certain conditions.

  1. Disconnect the multi-way harness connector of the fuel injectors.
  2. Measure the resistance of each fuel injector between the ignition 1 circuit and the fuel injector control circuit, at the multi-way connector with a DMM. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

I think my heating core is going out and a day of realizing this now my car wont start,

Heater cores don't go out ! They leak an in which case you would have coolant on the passenger side floor ,your windshield would fog up . There can get plugged , because someone mixed regular coolant with GM Dex-cool . Check you coolant is it a rust looking color ? Vehicle wont start ? how ? crank - no start or a no crank - no start ? When you turn the key to the start position does the engine spin or nothing !

What would cause the front suspension of my 4x4 to feel like it is riding on the edges of the tires going around a curve and constantly moving steering wheel from side to side?

I'd have a few things checked out by a pro since it sounds like this can be dangerous. 1st is your front Sway bar and bushings, have your rack and pinion checked out by a pro. Also check your wheel hub bearing assemblies. Final thought, make sure your 4wheel drive is NOT engaged, should be in 2 wheel hi. If in 4 wheel drive while on pavement, all turns will feel squirley and isn't good for your drive train.

My 2004 chevy blazer 4x4 won't shifts out of first until 2500 rpm then I have to let off of the throttle to get it to shift unto second

Sounds like a faulty torque converter or torque converter solenoid to me. The solenoid is an medium level DIY job... just keep the area as clean as you can with Simple Green before you remove the old one and have a new metal spatula handy to scrape off the old gasket. The area must be pristine clean before putting the new one on. If it's the torque converter, a professional shop will need to do tis for you... big bucks. I suggest you go to Autozone and have them put a fault code reader on your Blazer... it's free and they can make sure you get the tight parts too! A Haynes manual will tell you what the fault codes mean.

Why can't I pass smog check engine light won't come on

The smog check requires a visual inspection of your check engine light. It has to come on for a bulb check at startup to make sure it's working. But, the light must go out after starting the engine(it cannot stay on after the engine starts during a smog check). If the check engine light fails either of these two tests, the vehicle will fail the smog check inspection.
You need to have the cause of your inoperative check engine light diagnosed and repaired.

Need new thermostat

Follow the radiator hose that goes to the top part of the engine. Where the hose meets the top of engine, that the Thermostat. Remove the radiator hose, then remove the two bolts from the thermostat housing, and gently pry up the housing, once freed, the thermostat is right there, just remove and replace with a rubber gasket, and replace the housing and hose, you should be good to go.
