2004 Chevrolet Aveo - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Have a 2004 Aveo, this morning we drove the car
There are also fuses to the left of your driver door next to steering. I would replace them all and make sure you replace with right numbers. For the headlights use a higher number. exp: if it says 15 use a 20, if 10 use a 15, same for clock and alarm. read owners manual. You can google owners manual or ask me and i'll email it to you.

easy there is a fuse box behund driver door next to steering wheel that doesn't say alarm. it's on left side in middle. it burns out alot. replace it with a stronger fuse. I would replace all fuses. took me three years. Almost paid 300 to put a new one in.

My defrost and blower stopped working.
Check your fuses inside the cab of the car. On the inside of the fuse box cover there's a diagram showing which fuse controls the blower. Or in the engine compartment fuse box, check the blower relay.
I think I fried my radio...
you possibly have a broken fuse somewhere, whether it is the fuse relay between the stereo and the fuse box or if it is the fuse broken in the fuse box itself. check the fuses fisrt.
I have a 2005 chevy
the first thing u need to do is check the horn fuse..the location of the fuse box will be in the owners manual......if the fuse is blown u will need to have the short circuit found an repaired or the problem will happen again
Can a coil pack be on the verge of going bad and not firing enough to where the car won't start?
Yes it is possible. You really should start with the basics before spending any money.
When you turn the key to the on or run position (not start position), do all of the dash lights come on and especially the check engine or service engine light?
If so then step 2 is when turning the key from off to the run position, can you here the fuel pump run for approximately 3 seconds at the fuel tank. Sometimes you will have to remove the fuel cap and listen at the fuel fill pipe while someone else turns the key to the run position.
If both of those check ok, then you will want to verify spark while cranking the engine.
If any of those 3 items are not working, the car wont start. You will want to diagnose the item that is not working based on the descriptions above.
Good luck and respond back when you find which item is not working.
Hold light blinking, check engine light on, engine slows down
check tps sensor (throttle position sensor in backside of the throttle cable) and map sensor (manifold absolute pressure on front little 1 inch sensor with vacuum line) make sure there plugged in. the ecm (engine control module driver side inner fender) and tcm (transmission control module under dash) both need the data to know when to upshift and increase fuel/air. Otherwise the computer runs default values and guesses off of other sensors giving poor performance. also disconnect battery for 15 min. usually resets aveo service lights if you dont have a scanner.
