There are very few bolts on a vehicle that use a reverse thread and they are usually very specialist parts. Set your ratchet to the correct direction you want and you will turn the bolt in the correct direction. Clockwise is in, Anti-clockwise is out!

A flashing check engine light is not good.Run the codes and repair it now.

could be faulty heater /cold flap area.

needs the water system back flushing out, heater being cold is its blocked up some time a few back flushes and forward flushes with a hose pipe should free up the dirt inside, same with the engine and radiator. there are meany videos on you tube to help you understand how to back flush you engie. but do the radiator and engine and heater separate so the muck does not go back into the engine.

Wheel bearing maybe or he did the brakes wrong . Suggest you have a qualified repair shop check it out .

You certainly aren't the first one to have security issues with these things. Your best bet is to just bypass the system. I'm pretty sure you have Passkey III. May have broken a connection/shorting in the blower resistor pack which controls motor speed. Can get fragile with older vehicles.

what kind of oil pressure does it have (hot and cold) ??? there is a oil pressure sensor that needs to see oil pressure in order to enable the ign circuit I do think they (gm) stopped using it in maybe 04 because it caused so many problems in cold climates but it maybe as early as mid year 03 cant remember that far back

No it doesn't ,you need to hook up a scan tool for check engine light codes ! Cadillac's did do this back in the 80's You pushed the off an warmer buttons on the climate control panel !

Yes, but you will need a code reader (also called a scan tool) to get the code from the computer. Do not remove the cables from the battery until you check the codes because on many vehicles (and almost all vehicles before 2008) this will reset the check engine light. You can go to an Auto Zone store and they will check your codes for free, or you can purchase a code reader online (you can find many on Amazon--see the link at the end of this post). Be advised that cheaper readers won't capture all codes or will often deliver a generic code that is not intuitive. Auto Zone uses a cheaper reader so your result may not be optimal. The alternative is to go to a reputable repair shop or dealer where they use the more expensive Actron or similar readers to get a more accurate result, but of course they will charge you for the service. If your engine is overheating, Try this procedure:

• Dirt and debris can get lodged in the radiator air flow paths. This can block the radiator and cause your engine to overheat and damage the engine.

• The thermostat can be stuck close. If you feel the upper hose very hot and the lower hose cooler than normal, it may be a stuck thermostat.

• Make sure the radiator and the overflow bottle are filled to the proper levels.

• Bleed air from the coolant system:This is best done by running the engine with the radiator cap off until you see when the air bubbles stop coming up.

• Check the radiator fans: The easiest way is to turn on the cars air conditioner and turn up the A/C fans. Both radiator fans should come on when the A/C starts

• Make a pressure test by using a pressure testing tool (available at most auto parts stores). Use the pressure shown on your radiator cap. Most cars are 16 PSI or less, so don't exceed that pressure. Replace the radiator cap if it doesn't hold the pressure.

You can use a pry bar but an axle fork works better and it will just pop right out with a little prying
