Why would the front end start shaking at speeds above 55mph?
It could be
- out of balance rims and tyres
- bent rim after a pothole
- worn tie rod ends
- loose lug nuts
- worn steering end ball joints (if fitted)
- loose or worn steering box mounts
and so on. Take it to a front suspension or tyre shop in case it is a sign of something serious.
My car only starts randomly and i am not sure whats going on
Make certain the battery has full power , do a load test . If the battery is good check all the connections to the starter and make certain they are good. If so good so far check your starter switch, solenoid to find out what is not connecting. Check out your neutral safety switch move the gear shifter to be sure its in the right place. The alternator only keeps the battery full, it has nothing to do with starting the car.
Loud screeching noise upon starting
It is your serpentine belt slipping on one of
the metal pulleys and the friction is causing the high pitch screech. The belt
may need to be tightened or replaced, which is an easy fix.
What is the order of spark plug wires on a 2003 monte carlo with a 3.8L in it? It has aftermarket coils so no numbers.
at the factory they put numbers on top of the coils to
get the spark plug wires in the right order , but when
you replace the coils it does not matter the numbers they
all work the same what it matter is to put the right wires in it
3.8 V6 the order is in front of the car the first coil two spark plug wires # 1 and # 4,second coil #5 and #2 the next coil #3 and #6 now in front of the car wires are front left to right you got
# 1# 3 # 5 on the back of the engine you got from left to right #2 # 4 #6 you get them wrong the car will misfire or it won't start ... good luck..

Need help with my 03 monrecarlo ss
Assuming the repair is good the problem could be the brain is waiting to have the memory of the fault cleared and maybe the default values restored.
I suggest you double-check the repair, the wiring and connection and then find a man with a suitable lap-top or diagnostic thingy to clear the fault, etc.
