Hi,,my name Keith...and yes..you can use 10w-40 ..and you probably should..since your car is 6 years old and probably has over 100,000 miles..which means you have engine wear..which means the moving parts in your engine does not have the same clearances as when it was new...and thats why the say use 5w-30 when your car is new..also..if you take your car into a garage or a place like Jiffy Lube..thats the only kind of oil they use..is 10w-40..i hope this helps

I suggest to check some paraticis drain and ground connections. Additionally, check and test alternator charging.

this happened to my 2003 cavalier 2 times now both times we had to take it to the dealer they told us that the cabel broke both times works great after they fix it thank god for warenties

there is no fuel pump cut off switch on this car, it is possible the fuel pump module was damaged from this accident, u will have to have the fuel pump circuit tested for faults before replacing the pump, don't guess, this is an expensive repair

Battery connections ,cables , starter relay . igntion switch , wiring . Could be a number of thing's as you can see . Without proper diagnostic skills , your best bet mite be to take it to a qualified repair shop .

the problem is in the mechanics of the wiper at the firewall (inside undr the vents) the connector to the wiper arm has come loose from the controlling arm (laymen's terms) you'll need to access the workings and re-connect the arm..the access panel is normally held on with a few screws.....make sure the repair will stay connected and is not worn out.. good luck to you....it is about an hour fix...

on the front of the shift knob you will see an area that has a metal clip, using a flat tip screwdriver pry out this clip as you pry it out you will see it is a u shape clip, once you remove this clip the shift knob pulls up and off. then just pull up on the center console cover where the indicators are at, this cover just snaps in, the bulb can be access

The issue could be something as simple as a wheel speed sensor not registering. The computer should have a code stored to tell you what the issue is. The reason it works fine when you first start the engine is the ABS and Traction system do a self check each time the engine is started. As long as everything passes it gives the green light and the system is active. When the system detects an error after you start moving it gets disabled and this effects other systems. You need to find and repair the error and all should be good.

Is the check engine light on? If it is check to see if a local parts store offers free code reading. If its a misfire code it should be po001 through 004. This is telling you cylinder 1 is 001 ect. Then you can change the parts on the correct cylinder.

Usually the sign of a bad fuel pump check valve that allows fuel pressure to bleed off over night. Try this in the morning. Turn the key to ON for 2-secs, then OFF. Repeat 3 times. Then try to start. If it starts right up, you need a new fuel pump. By turning the key on and off you're filling the fuel lines and building pressure that you lost overnight.

The front of engine is usually where the serpentine belt is located. The side of the engine toward the front of vehicle is different. I'm not trying to split hairs, Just trying to understand? Is it coming out in the area of the belt? When you had it on the ramps, was the engine running? One thought is too much crankcase pressure? There is, the oil filter could leak, oil pan gasket, head gasket. Is there oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil? It's tough to find a leak if it isn't leaking when you check it.
