How do I check brake switch wiring
those switches make continuity ( makes the circuit to the brake light ) when we brake our vehicle, then when brake pedal is not being pushed it disengages the circuit, therefore turning off break lights.
Use an ohmeter with no voltage applied to ciruit , check switch With switch engaged ( zero or about zero ohms ), switch disengaged should show infinity ( nothing on the ohmeter ).
How many miles does it take for a service engine light to reset?
Nothing to do with miles
If the new sensor was the correct fix, then the light would be off
Maybe the light will go off when the Emissions Monitor Runs,
but doubt it,you went 4 miles & the O2 Data has to be working
You DO NOT Replace parts based on a code
Codes have nothing to do with parts
Codes only indicate an out of range parameter or possible fault
You use the codes to component test the system, that set them
Find a fault or problems
Make the repairs, if necessary
You had no diagnostic test
You had it checked for generic codes only
You have to component test all old & new parts, not
just hang them on there, because of some one is selling
parts with no vehicle knowledge

2001 lumina overheating
No experience with this car... But check the radiator for leaks, make sure it is not low. If possible check if the ecu is throwing codes.
OBD-11 codes 0403 & 0405
code p0403 refers to EGR --circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring--EGR solenoid---ECM
code p0405 refers to EGR valve position sensor A --low input===causes ---wiring ---short to ground---EGRF valve position sensor--- ECM.
By only changing the EGR valve you have not fixed the problems that cause the valve not to work.
Radio code
I forget radio code how I get back this code please inform me

Power windows
while holding the up button-hit the inside of the door about in the middle-this may break the motor lose and you may get it to go up atleast until you can get a window regulator motor to replace it - cheers Denny
Washer fluid
Should be a clear/white tank behind the headlights with a flat cap.The cap usually has a symbol for windshield washer on it.
Blown fuses
sounds like a bad ground somewhere or check your ground wire on your starter and even your igniton switch cause if they go bad then your car either wont start or wont stay running
Starter does not turn
Is the security light on ?Are you getting power on the small wire at the starter from the key switch ?Have you checked the neutral safety switch ?Are you sure the engine is not locked up ?
How do i reinstall a battery in a 2001 chevy lumina? there is a wedge of some type i don't know where it goes
1. Place the battery in the car so that the red cable is closest to the positive (+) post and that the black is closest to the negative or (-) post.2. once the battery direction is determined, the wedge can be put in place. The wedge normally fastens to the bottom battery tray and at the same time sets along side of or in a small recess cutout in the lower part of the battery. There should be a bolt or nut that fastens the wedge to the battery tray and allows one parts of the wedge to hold the battery at the same time. Place the wedge on the battery where it is to hold the battery and then tighten the nut/bolt down which should hold the battery down tight. Sometimes the nut or bolt used to hold the wedge down will get rusty and needs to be sprayed with a rust penetrant like "pb blaster". PB blaster can be purchased at most auto part stores and walmart.
Car would crank but want start
You have severely overheated the engine and most likely have a blown head gasket and other damage. Take it to a shop and have the engine repaired or replaced.
