Have you checked the vss/vehicle speed sensor? Are there any applicable trouble codes that point to that sensor?

how to turn the alarm system off

Common problem, unfortunately, you need to replace your fuel pump. The sending unit on the fuel pump itself is failing. Replace with AC Delco or Delphi brand. Other aftermarkets don't last very long.

u might need to have the wheels reblanced

Your charging system (alternator) should put out about 14 volts when the engine is running. If it does not, then have the "charging system" tested. You may need to replace the alternator, or it may be disconnected, or perhaps the belt that drives it is loose.

Check your transmission fluid level. [I rebuilt a C-4 Ford in a college class. Had a big leak. After I put 9 more quarts of trans fluid in it worked. ] 2 quarts low will make it fail. Be sure and use the correct fluid for your brand and year of car. Big Chain advertised Trans rebuild shops are often a scam. They take apart your trans then want thousands to put it back together. The Federal Trade Commission nailed them for this years ago. Find a local shop recommended by several GOOD mechanics. Dealers are usually good but expensive. Most trans repairs can be done without removing the trans. A good shop can test the trans while mounted in the car. Can hook up test hoses and see what is happening. This was true in 1980s when I took the class. Might have electronic tests now. If it is an older trans the fluid is thick. Putting in new thin fluid will make it worse. Auto Trans are hydraulic "brain surgery" If you can find a guaranteed rebuilt trans that's a good route. Putting it in takes a lot of skill and a lift. My neighbor tried it in his driveway, it failed and after 2 months took it to a shop. Damaged the pump $$$ [I drive a stick shift with crank up windows. It has 4 / 60 Air Conditioning 4 windows open 60 Miles per hour !!! :) Good Luck

are you saying u can't change the air temperature? do the blower speeds work ok? can u change the locations the air comes from, i.e. dash registers, defrost, floor?

did you check the relay?

This vehicle has problems with the multifunction switch AND the hazard light switch. Try turning the switch on and move the hazard light switch back and forth up and down. If that's not it, I'd look at replacing the MFS. There is a TSB on the MFS, but typically for the brake lights not working. Look in this to go over the steps to take to diagnose also.

So, do you hear the pump buzz on, when key is on? If that's good, then check your ignition circuit: check for spark at a plug. Use insulated pliers, hold end of plug wire 1/4 inch form engine bolt or ground source. When cranked, you should see a bright blue spark. Yes? Try another plug wire, too. No? Try another plug wire. If you have NO spark, could be your coil, coil pack, crank position sensor, ignition module. I would recommend using a diagnostic flow-chart to go through the ignition circuit. That way, you are not replacing unecessary parts_Expensive! Of course, if you have spark at plugs, your ignition circuit is good! Then you have to look further, like your injector circuit. Good luck.

fan blower resistor. Under hood near blower motor. Follow the power that goes to blower back to resistor, there should be several wires on it. That's the most LIKELY source of your problems.

Maybe Neutral safety switch.. just an idea..

Hi Jacob: Have you checked with a voltmeter for power at the bulb sockets? I'd be suspicious of a power loss since they both went at the same time. Have a look at the fuses and use the voltmeter to trace from where you have power, to where you don't. That location will be your problem source. If the fuse is fried, check the wiring for exposed conductor.

Is this a factory cruise control system ? If it is there is no vacuum , all electronic .

Hi, Orifice tubes are located in the high pressure line where it goes into the evaporator (close to firewall) or the condenser ( close to radiator) or in the line itself. I believe in my jimmy (about the same as a blazer) it was near the firewall where the high pressure line unscrews. Unscrew the line (think its a large coupler) and it should be inside there. Clean the cavity of any dirt or debris well and note the direction of the old orifice for installation.
