I'm trying to install a new starter on my 1998 chevy monte carlo and forgot how to rewire it. Can anyone tell me how the wires reattach to the studs?

the one coming from the battery with the bigger lug hole should only have on spot it can go, and there should only maybe 2 for the relay and one has to be a ground or neg the other one come from the ignition switch.

Dose the fuel pump relay mess with the alternator

Your fuel pump relay shouldn't have anything to do with your alternator, directly, as far as I know. What kind of problem are you having? If your having electrical problems, I'd have to check the battery and charging system. Go from there.

Does the fuel pump relay mess with the alternator

No the fuel pump relay works through the ignition key . The alternator charges direct to the battery. The only thing that can happen is the voltage can increase up to 14 volts on the hole system this should not affect the relay.

My alternator is not charging the battery what is it?

If there is no voltage of the Large Red wire that is bolted to the back of the alternator, then you have a wiring problem. This wire usually goes directly to the starter where it joins up with the wire from the battery. There is, in most cases, a fusible link installed in-line on this wire (not a fuse, a fusible link). If this line draws too much current, then the link melts ans acts as a fuse. Once it melts, there will be no charging voltage as the alternator output cannot get to the starter, or the battery.

What is wrong with my brake lights the one in the back window work but the two bottom ones work what is it

there may be a relay or fuses in the engine compartment in a sealed box compartment. The window light may be a different relay or directly wired somehow to the brake switch on the brake pedal.it could be a blown globe. but i am assuming you checked that out also.

The wiring on my 1998 monte carlo has a problem. the wiring all over the car is good in till you get to the hot red wire on the alternator what is wrong i tryed fuses and every thing.

You will have 12 volts /hot wire coming from that wire. If you don't, then it is a ground to the regulator/ field in the alternator. the field ground comes from the ECM. But being a 98, it can be bypassed. You need an electrical schematic. Cut the wire at the alternator to the field. Ground it to the engine. Make sure the engine has a good ground to the body.

How to change passenger side window track on 98 monte Carlo

Go to a PepBoys an get a Hanes manual for your vehicle. It tells ALL. Too long a procedure to tell you hear, but first you do need to push the window all the way up and hold it there with duct tape over the top of door frame and down the window. You may not need to replace the track, could be just one of the rollers came out the track. Pull the panel off and find out.
