It is leaking oil.

Well, it's best to put the car up on a rotary lift and clean off the engine from below with brake cleaner or something that will dry up the oil, and observe where the oil comes out of.

If it's coming out of the rear main seal, you'll see it start to drip from that location.

Runs fine but the check engine light keeps

Code 12 indicates the end of a code sequence. It is not a trouble code. It will blink if there are no codes to let you know there are no codes. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_d728a59f986299fa

Stripped ball stud bolt on a 2000 Chevy Metro.

these are a very small diameter stud. if the threads are badly damaged, you will need to replace the ball joint. if it is just the first couple threads that are damaged, you may have luck re cutting the threads with a die. good luck!

Replaced the alternator on a 2001 Chevy Metro LSI

Belt dressing isn't advised for vechiles with serpatine belts. they are ment for the old V style belts. Use brake cleaner, carb cleaner to clean off the belt. Then recheck to see if everything is routed the correct way. Check the pulley on the new altenator. Is it the same size as the old one? If not, repalce with old pulley. These three items are the usual cause of poor tension. The tensionor could be going bad too but that isn't a very likely occurance.

Both headlights on my 1991 Chevy silverado went

The first thing to do that all Mechanics will tell you is to check the fuses, afterwards you may need to check the wiring. you can do this by using a Digital mutlimeter and checking to see if the vehicle has power even flowing to the connector of each headlight. If you plan on doing this please be VERY careful as to not shock yourself. if you cannot find out what is wrong with the vehicle after the steps provided you may want to turn it over to a trained technician. As a note google is the way that I often find diagrams.

Headlights don't work. Both went out at the same

Have you checked the fuses? The headlights should be on their own fused circuit. Check that. If that doesn't work, you may need a new headlight switch. There are hundreds of these cars in the junkyards, finding a new headlight switch should be a piece of cake. Good luck.
