How do I bypass ignition security module on 2002

You cant at all. You have to go to a dealer, they have a machine to reset the rf signal that is used and cut replacement keys. I ran into that problem when I replaced a steering column in a 2002.

My 1998 chevy lumina wont charge new alternator

the heavy lead from the back of the alternator goes to the battery. this lead charges the battery and is probably loose or corroded at one end or the other.

Hi. my problem

If your using coolant on this model in the amount you stated, it sounds ( and that car is famous for it) like you have a bad head gasket letting the coolant into one of the cylinders. Some times you can tell if the exhaust has a sweet smell to it. A leaking heater core can fool you also as the carpet will **** it up. You would know if the windows fog up that the heater is culprit .

The whole assembly has the brake line adapters, master cylinder, reservoir and the power brake booster (the large circular part that connects into the firewall). If you are referring to the coils in the brake lines, they are there to make the difference between the front brake lines and rear brake lines closer to the same distance allowing more even braking on all four wheels.

My first question is how does the engine overheat ? And how fast ?Does the gauge go to hot, or can you actually tell the engine is too hot, or both ? Does it take 10 minutes, 5 minutes, or less ?Have you checked to make sure the cooling system is full of liquid and has no air pockets ?

Security light flashing

Take the Original Ignition key out to the car. Get in it and turn the key on. Every light should light up like your going to start it. The factory security light will flash. Leave the ignition on until it stops flashing. Should take about 10-15 min to do it. once it does, shut the key off and then turn it over to start the car.
