Overheats and air pressure build up in cooling
Classic signs of a head gasket gone bad and will need to be replaced as soon as possible. Note also that coolant is corrosive to the engine's internal bearings and should not be driven until the head gasket has been repaired and it's a good thing to also replace the oil and filter to remove the contaminated oil with coolant from the engine.
Good luck and sorry for the bad new.
1997 chevy venture engine light on no hesitation
Sounds like a code to me. You need to go and get the computer scanned for codes and have them reset. I had a 2005 uplander and my check engine light came on constantly, it ran fine but I found out it was a faulty gas cap. So it might not be anything major. Autozone will read the code for you for free, but they cant reset them.
1007 chevy venture 3.4 liter v6
These motors were notorious for the ignition module to go bad, if its not even trying to fire this very well could be the problem.first check the individual coils for spark. this motor has 3 coil packs, its not likely that all 3 would go bad at the same time. The ignition module is located behind these coils, which are held in place by 2 bolts each.remove the coils, then the bolts for the ignition module will be visible. remove the bolts, be careful removig the module, the crank sensor may be attached to the back of this module. The crank sensor is inserted straight into the block, held in by a rubber O ring, it will come out with the module so be sure to pull straight out on the module as to not damage the sensor.Take the module to your local parts store and have it tested, most places will do this for free.It will be a pass or fail test.If the module is good, your crank sensor may be bad, I've also seen this problem with this motor. good luck. It is a 1999. The temperature gauge goes up and
It sounds like you need to change the thermostat in the engine it's located inside the throttle body of the engine the main hose running from the engine usually the bigger hose. Or you might need more antifreeze or a new cap on the expansion tank where you would pour the antifreeze and or it could be a plugged up radiator. But I would check the thermostat or replace it and replace the cap. You can purchase the right ones for the vehicle at any auto parts store and you can ask them to look up the parts you need just make sure you know the make, model, year of vehicle.
PS don't buy the part's at wal mart or any store like that because they cant help you and they don't know what's right for your car.
Good Luck!
My heater blows warm air when fan on low then when
This indicates that enough hot water isn't getting from the engine into the heater core at a fast enough pace to keep up with the increased demand when you have the fan on higher speeds, and that the system is restricted. If your temperature gauge is indicating the engine is at normal operating temp. or you can tell by the general temperature of the engine, then more than likely, you'll need to have the entire system cooling system tested & flushed good luck
1997 venture leaking coolant, can,t tell where it
You may be lucky and it just the hose clamp that needs to be replaced at your heater core on the firewall. Might as well replace the heater hose if it is the clamp that has failed. There are two hoses from the firewall behind the engine, the other places that coolant would leak from are the frost plugs and at worst the intake gasket failed. Keep me posted and have my fingers crossed it's just a simple fix like a leak from the heater hose. Good luck
My friend changed the motor in his 97 chev venture
its possible he left a wire unplugged,or he damaged the clock spring if he removed the steering shaft from the rack he might have broke the clock spring in the steering shaft, run it by advance auto and have them clear the code,if the light doesnt stay out then he needs to check under the hood to see what the problem is
'97 Venture Van. Fan is not blowing no matter
Test the motor first, The wire to it is a hot positive wire and the motor's housing is the ground. If that works ok next check the resistor to see if its burnt out. Did you look at your fuses first?
