you need to use scanner equipped with live data--go to live data look for crank signal 24x--if 0--get schematics check inputs to sensor--possibly wiring issue

make sure you got compression on ever cylider. do a compression check.

Charge your battery then have your alternator checked

If the engine has been flushed well including the radiator and you are still getting water in the oil. The culprit is the cylinder head or the block has a crack internally allowing water into the oil.

On a 97 model the transmission is controlled by the engine computer. You may have a problem with a solenoid or band in the trans for low, and t he speed sensor may be defective.

The ECM BAT fuse powers the fuel pump through the relay. If the gray wire has power and the black wire has ground, and the fuel pump does not operate, its bad.

Well if its just the starter theres a way to test that. Hit it really hard with a rench of some sort and start it immedietly after, it should turn over. Thees a chance that botg ur battery and starter are gone. The dinging is normal youll hear that especially in older cars. It definetly soubds like ur starter though
