Hi! Grounded wire for sure. Please check the wiring of the thermostat for this may be causing the ground. Please try removing the positive battery connector during the procedure to prevent accidents.
I need to find the truck termostat, where is it?
The thermostat is located in the front of the intake manifold under the thermostat housing, and follow the upper radiator hose over to where it connects to the engine on the intake manifold and that will be the thermostsat housing. remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostsat housing and remove the ground wire if there is one attaced to one of the two thermostat housing studs, and then remove the two studs/bolts from the thermostat housing and then remove the thermostat from the intake manifold. Be sure to replace the thermostat correctly and here is an image to help assist you.
I had my 1997 silverado smogged and now the key
There is no shutoff switch or reset button. The first place to look is the key fob itsself. If you know the battery is good, then check the solder connections on the battery clip. These often break, and render the FOB useless until it's re-soldered. Next, clean the contacts where the buttons press against and the back of the button pad with alcohol. This gets any deposits off. If it still doesn't work, you may have to reprogram the key fob. The instructions can be found in your owners' manual.

I have a 1998 gmc sierra and mt oil pressure gets
Well, they may be right in saying that normal engine wear is causing this problem as the distance between the bearings and the oil passages gets bigger, the oil pressure drops.
If you want to spend the money on a new oil pump, you can, but there is no guarantee that will solve the problem.
You're right, the oil pump's passages might be wearing along with the rest of the engine causing this gradual low oil pressur problem.
Have you had the oil changed along with the filter to see if maybe there's a circulation problem in the engine?
I had low oil pressure on my 1997 Cadillac Deville Limousine, that was intermittently flashing the low oil pressure light.
I read that it's recommended to change the oil to the proper viscosity and that seemed to clear up my problem on my GM Northstar engine.
It's worth a try.
Good luck on this repair.

Power steering hoses are made to withstand very high hydraulic pressures.
They are assembled with equipment made to do that which is impractical for a home-owner or even most shops to buy.
Your only two options in your case are either to buy a replacement hose (pre assembled) or to have a specialty shop (usually large machine shops that do work for heavy equipment or farm vehicles offer that service) make you a new hose.
Anything you try at home will quickly blow apart.
Need to know wish is bank1 sensor and bank 2
the bank one sensor is the sensor is in the bank of cylinder on the drivers side of the engine this is the cylinder bankl that has cylinder #1 in it, and the bank 2 sensor is on the passenger side bank of engine cylinders,
I have a '97 Chevy Silverado 2wd, auto trans, 5.7,
THE CODES AND THE DEFINITIONS:
P0134 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor
P0135 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1
P1133 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1
These codes mean that the oxygen sensor in the bank one # one cylinder side of the engine is not working properly, I suggest u replace the Bank one sensor one O2 sensor.
The bank one sensor is located in the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter on the right bank of the engine (this is once again the bank that contains cylinder #1) as u stand in front of the truck, it takes a 7/8" wrench to remove. replace the sensor with a GM sensor, aftermarket sensors can trigger more codes and are no cheaper than the OEM sensor from GM parts. Below u can find a diagram of the cylinder layout, as u can see bank one is on the right.
