What sends power to your automobile ignition?
Follow the Power wire from the battery to the firewall of the car. The fuseable link will be along that wire. They are usually "in-line" and can appear to be noting more than a large bump on the wire.
No spark
Check to see if you have spark out coil.If you have spark at coil then it's distributor related. No spark at coil means ignition module or crank sensor hopefully its not computer.
Vacume line diagram
More often than not, vacuum line diagrams are located on stickers either under the hood or on the front cross member of the vehicle. If not, go to your local parts store and look up the diagram in a Chiltons Repair Manual. Some parts stores will even print the information you need
Car shuts off while driving.
You might want to try a new fuel filter, if its been a while sense its had a new one, when they start to plug it will act like that. You may also want to chk. the fuel pressure to see if the pump is getting weak, pumps going bad are a common problem on G.M. cars and trucks. but don't loose sight that it could be electrical, with todays cars anything is possible, but sense the light did not come on leads me to believe its the fuel thing.
