I have a 1994 Chevy

Hi my name is Shaun. Welcome to FixYa! I will do my best to help you with your problem. Your situation sounds a little comples. all the clues you have given seem to point in different directions. the fact that your engine started after turning the key off and then trying again may pointt to a bad starter solenoid. but, the fact that the ewngine died after only a few seconds tends to point to a bad alternator. Here is your best bet. Take your truck to your nearest Advance or Autozone. they do bettery and alternator testing for free. Make sure they use one of their loaner batteries when they test the alternator, as a bad battery can give false readings and indicate a bad alternator. If both of these check out good, your starter would probably be the most likely culprit. I, however, would put my money on the alternator. Seven years is a very good run. That's as long as some vehicles last these days. Hope this helps, and good luck to you. Have a great day!

Why does my 94 Chevy truck lose power going uphill

Chances are good your fuel filter is clogged, not allowing enough fuel to the engine for the high demand it has when going uphill.

1994 chevy pick up c1500

This stalling is fuel related issue. When the fuel flow becomes low, the engine ask for fuel. But fuel pump does not send required fuel and engine stalls. In some cases, it stall then dies after stalling for few minutes. In some cases, if stalls for few seconds or minutes, then again get required fuel , as you accelerate more and engine starts/runs normally. But once this problem is started and it repeats again n again. This is indication f low fuel pressure.Get the fuel pressure checked and replace fuel pump and fuel filter.-----------

Will 400 transmission fit my 1994 c1500 pickup

no. in the late 80's chevy switched to a electronic automatic tranny called the 4L60E, that is the tranny you should be looking for. the only bad part, its more expensive.

How to bleed manual clutch

If your slave cylinder has a bleeder screw like on the brakes, fill the fluid up and open the bleeder screw and let the slave cylinder gravity feed. When you get a steady stream of fluid tighten the screw. Once you close the screw pump the clutch petal a few times and hold it down on the floor and have someone open the screw slowly then close it. Do this a couple of times checking the fluid level between bleeds.

Do you refill resivor after

I would hope not: That would imply that you're pushing through the entire reservoir each pump. If you are, check for leaks. However, about every 5 pumps would be a good time to refill during a bleedoff.

My windshield wipers only work

either the wiper motor or the multifunction switch is bad. they are both going on twenty, and every year past ten years was a good one. the multifunction switch will have to be acquired through GM sources but the wiper motor can be had at any parts store. Repair manuals and looking on www.youtube.com for instructional videos are handy for both procedures as there are many steps.
